Discover." – Mark Twain NEXT: A New Century provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to imagine our next century of servant leadership in ways previously thought impossible. NEXT inspires us to explore our Order with totally new eyes. NEXT challenges us to dream bigger than ever before. NEXT is about discovering the creative potential within each and everyone one of us. On Innovation Day at NEXT, we will unveil LeaderX: a new, simple process to help delegates arrive at human­centered solutions to pain points in the organization. LeaderX is comprised of three key elements: 1.) deep empathy that considers the needs of everyone we serve, 2.) an initial focus on a large quantity of ideas over quality, and 3.) an open­mindedness that mix and matches ideas in ways previously thought impossible or crazy. LeaderX will redefine the meaning of leadership and provide delegates with a totally new approach to problem solving. This is where we need your help. After LeaderX is announced on Innovation Day (​

), we need to incorporate LeaderX’s principles of empathy, creativity, imagination, and open­mindedness into everything we do. If we are to ignite the spark of creativity that will redefine this new century of our Order, then we must set an example that inspires all delegates to return home and share LeaderX with their lodges and chapters. During group discussions, emphasize the needs of all stakeholders in a program or policy (parents, unit leaders, lodge leaders, etc.). During brainstorming sessions, encourage one another to produce as many “wild” ideas as possible, and avoid judging ideas. Mixing and matching these “wild” ideas just might unlock a brilliant solution that could better the Order as a whole. With your help, LeaderX can inspire boundless imagination and exciting conversations that catalyze new, transformational ideas at NEXT. With your help, we just might unleash the full creative potential of our Order. We must Explore, Dream, Discover.
