Direct Supervisor(s): Testing Program Manager Licensure: NA Hours: Flexible, part-­‐time on-­‐call Location: Prior Lake, MN The Position The Lorenz Clinic of Family Psychology is looking to hire a psychometrist to administer psychological assessments at the clinic’s centralized assessment facility in Prior Lake. Qualified candidates will have previous coursework and experience in psychological assessment. Candidates with interest in working with young children and their families are especially encouraged to apply. Job Duties Job duties include but are not limited to: • Administer standardizes assessment measures of intelligence, achievement, reasoning, mood, personality, memory, executive functioning, and perception. • Adhere to established assessment administration best practices • Score tests, adhering to testing manual guidelines • Record observations of clients during the testing process • Maintains inventory of testing supplies • Maintain an orderly work space • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, patients, and business associates of clinic • Adherence to directives by applicable direct supervisors • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field (or currently enrolled) • Successfully completed graduate coursework in the administration and scoring of psychological tests • A completed master’s or doctoral-­‐level assessment practicum • Evidence of a high level of professionalism within the field • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills • Ability to respect diversity and integrate issues of culture into case conceptualizations and client interactions • Ability to engage with patients who may be ambivalent about assessment • Ability to adapt interactions to patients’ strengths, skills, and developmental levels • Ability to comply with clinic documentation standards The Lorenz Clinic, LLC – P.O. The Clinic The Lorenz Clinic is a group private practice focused on the mental health needs of children, families, and adults. While the majority of our services are provided under the umbrella of managed care, we have community partnerships that allow us to service those without insurance. Located on the edge of the Minneapolis Metropolitan area, our four locations (Victoria, Chaska, Prior Lake, and Rosemount) are located approximately 30 miles south/southwest of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and provide needed psychological services to both suburban and rural communities. In addition to its clinical mission, the clinic has a vibrant training program. Training Program A major highlight about The Lorenz Clinic is that it is a training site. Although Psychometrists do not function as practicum students within the training program, they benefit from the energetic work climate common to most training clinics. Our existing training program includes master’s-­‐level family therapy practicum placements, post-­‐master’s fellowships, and a post-­‐doctoral psychology fellowship supervised by licensed psychologists and family therapists. Because the training program is an outgrowth of our fierce dedication to serving the underserved, we offer significantly reduced fee services to those in financial need.
