All entrants must be fully paid members of Maraetai Tennis Club as by the end of February and subject to committee approval. All entrants must be available to play on the designated tournament days as advertised. All games will be announced by a member of the committee, the starting time will be recorded on the draw. If you do not arrive to start the game within 10 minutes of this announcement and recorded time you will forfeit the game. Unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and a member of the committee may withdraw you from the championship. Appropriate tennis attire is to be worn. The draw is final and no discussion will be entered into. The Senior Men’s and Women’s Singles draw will take into account any Interclub rankings. While the club championships are in progress, no other play is permitted. •

Knockout tournament. •
The umpire’s decision is final. If players are umpiring and they are unsure if the ball was out, they must call it as “in”. •
All matches are the best of three sets. •
All matches will play the traditional deuce rule. •
A tiebreaker (first to 7 points, with 2 points advantage) will be played if a match reaches 6-­‐6 then a tiebreaker will be played The first player to reach seven points wins the tie-­‐break and the set. But if the score reaches six-­‐points-­‐all, the winner is the first player to win two points in a row. The player whose turn it was to serve in the set serves the first point of the tie-­‐break. Their opponent serves the next two points and after that the serve rotates after every two further points.
