What’s New with WWP?
Welcome
In our quest for digital marketing stardom, we are always looking to expand
our knowledge of growing trends in our ever-changing industry. Our SEM
Manager, Lia Vinogradov, attended one of Bruce Clay’s SEO trainings in
California last month. During her five day advanced training, she learned
about the changing face of SEO and white hat methodologies that will
provide lasting value to her website strategy and help both us and our clients
get a larger, organic presence faster. Lia was even lucky enough to sit with
Bruce himself and engage in a one-on-one question and answer discussion.

RECOMMENDATION
Creating the Best Informed Admissions Team
Morning admissions team meetings can start to sound the same; how about elevating the engagement by
playing Product Knowledge Trivia?! This would engage and elevate the admissions team product knowledge
through friendly competition. You can institute some type of reward for winning the trivia game such as free
lunch or a gift card. Using your school’s most recent catalog, choose 10-20 questions such as:
• What year was the college founded?
• Who is the school accredited by?
• Is the school regionally or nationally accredited?
• How many programs are offered?
• Name the programs and whether they are certificate or degree granting?
The more you play, the more challenging the questions will become, which will force the team
to fully understand the institution’s mission and goals. This exercise will increase their confidence when
meeting with prospective students, making for a better interview experience. The more they know, the
better they represent your institution, which will inspire prospective students to make better decisions.

APSCU Convention
This month I traveled to Denver, CO for the annual APSCU Convention. It was quite
different than Las Vegas – a refreshing change. Our booth turned out great by capturing
the essence of who we are - digital marketing partners that care. We were excited to meet
with some of our current clients, potential new clients and other industry professionals.
This year, the feedback we received from our current clients really moved me. Our clients
were so positive on our results and team character at WWP. Personalized compliments
came left and right about my team and the superior service we provide. It was refreshing
to see that the strategic efforts we have set forth have resulted in quality results, both
conversions and service.
“I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it,
because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion.” ~Mia Hamm

LIA’S CALENDAR
Earlier this month, our team members, Diana and Jamii,
represented World Web Partners at the annual APSCU
Convention in Denver, CO. It was a nice change for these
Floridians to enjoy the view of the mountains in downtown
Denver. After they adjusted to the dry air and higher elevations,
Diana and Jamii joined forces in our company booth where
they met with current clients, potential new clients and other
companies in the education sector. We would say this year
was a success and we are already looking forward to next
year’s in Orlando, FL (which is a little closer to home!).

The Signs & Symptoms of Social Media Addiction
As fun as social media is for keeping up with friends and the latest trending videos, for some people, it may
be harmful. Social media takes time away from meaningful relationships and face to face interactions.
Here are some tactics people can try if they believe they are addicted to social media:
1. Set boundaries – Only allow a certain set time of the day to check your social media.
2. Accountability partner – Find someone who can help encourage you when you are
struggling with your limited usage and can help distract you when you are tempted to
check your Facebook feed.
3. Delete the app – Removing social media apps from your phone will help you to not check
it throughout the day. Don’t worry; you can still check your social media on your computer.

JAUQUESE’S TIPS
Tips to Help Your Students Avoid College Credit Card Debt
Spending habits and budgeting are not usually part of a high school student’s curriculum. So when
they are whisked away to college to live on their own for the first time, they may think a credit card is
a magical card that can buy them anything they want at no charge! But in reality, the bill
collectors will be knocking if they don’t manage their money effectively. Here are some tips
to share with your students to help them avoid credit card debt:
1. For their first credit card, a student should be an authorized user of their parents’ card.

This will allow the parent
to monitor their child’s spending and keep them accountable.
2. Consider a secured card that helps build credit by reporting one’s payment history to the
credit bureaus.
3. Avoid applying for several cards at time, which will drag down their credit score.
4. Set spending limits and set guidelines for purchases. Students should have an understanding that
their credit card is for purchases such as books and groceries and not that 12 foot long slip-and-slide
they “really need” for an upcoming pool party.

“Take chances, take a lot of them.
Because honestly, no matter
where you end up and with whom,
it always ends up just the way it
should be. Your mistakes make
you who you are. You learn and
grow with each choice you make.
Everything is worth it. Say how
you feel, always. Be you, and be
okay with it.” -Author unknown
