2016 Facts and Figures
About Renown Health
Renown Health is a locally owned, not-for-profit
integrated health network and Accountable Care
Organization. Being not-for-profit means that all
of our income stays here — to improve the care
and services for our community. We bring together
healthcare providers, programs and services to
seamlessly coordinate the healthcare needs of the
community. We serve a 17-county region that includes
northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe and northeast California.
Today, meeting the healthcare needs of the community
means much more than simply providing care within
our facilities — we are taking our focus on health and
well-being out into the communities we serve.
By the Numbers1
Through our extensive network, we provide care to
more than 74,000 patients each month.

Proudly Not-For-Profit
As Reno’s only locally owned, not-for-profit health
network, all of our earnings stay right here and are
reinvested in programs, people and equipment to
better serve our communities. Local citizens play a
pivotal role in how those dollars are spent. More than
140 community members serve on Renown boards or
in advisory capacities.
946
Community Benefit
We’re thinking outside of our four walls to make an
impact on the health of our communities. In just one
year, we spent more than $78 million1 for research,
community initiatives, education and non-reimbursed
health services. We contribute to more than 80 local
not-for-profit organizations each year and invest
approximately $63.7 million1 annually on capital
improvements — such as buildings, equipment and
technology — to better serve our community.
Economic Impact
Overall, our total economic impact is projected to be
$1.867 billion2, and we are responsible for 12,406
direct and indirect jobs.
