The Lynch Spring Break basketball camp is for all boys and girls who are interested in improving their skills while having fun playing basketball. Players from the beginning stage to intermediate levels will learn the basic skills, fundamentals and techniques of the game. We will work on proper ball handling, shooting and rebounding techniques, defensive footwork and have various shooting and ball handling contests during the week. We’ll also play five on five games. BUSINESS UPDATES The Planning Commission recommended approval of a new combined Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagel shop at their March 2 meeting. The shop will be located on Kenwood Trail between the Advanced Auto Parts store and the NTB Tire store in the Hoppe Market Place development adjacent to Argonne Village Shopping Center. This new 2,700 square-foot building will include a drive-through and an outdoor patio. The project is scheduled to be considered by the City Council at the March 20 meeting. The City Council approved a proposed new Taco Bell restaurant at their March 6 meeting. The new 2,800 squarefoot building will be constructed just northeast of the Hy-Vee grocery store and east of the soon-to-open new PetSmart store. This Taco Bell is being developed by Border Foods based in New Hope. It will be a newly designed prototype with a drive-through window and an outdoor patio and seating area. Construction is expected to begin this spring. A ground-breaking ceremony was recently held for Christian Heritage Academy, a new 29,000 square-foot private elementary and middle school that will be adjoined to Crossroads Church located at 17671 Glacier Way. Upon completion, the new building will house classrooms, offices and a gymnasium with a performance stage. A temporary Certificate of Occupancy was issued for Simply Self Storage, which includes over 83,000 square-feet of storage units in the former Train America building located at 9913 214th Street. Additionally, a 2,400 square-foot addition was constructed to create an entrance for Simply Self Storage as well as a drive-through loading space.
