APRIL NEWSLETTER
WELCOME BACK!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break. We
are so excited to be back at Wickliffe to start the last few months of
our SACC year! The month of April will be filled with activities of
various themes, allowing the students to get outside, share special
talents, learn about the earth, and do some fun recycling!
In order to bring back the famous SACC Talent show, the first week
of April will be the “Sacc’s got Talent” Week. For the students who
will not be practicing for the Talent Show, we will also include some
favorite activities that week, including a basketball tournament,
and shaving cream fun. The following week will be the “April
Showers Bring May Flowers” Week, when students can make 3-D
rainbows and play rainbow dodgeball. We will also bring back one
of our favorite activities, Glowstick Bowling! On Thursday, April 14th,
we will treat the students to a Pizza Party to award their efforts in our
service-learning project, Pennies for Patients.
The third week of April will be filled with earth-related activities for
our “Earth Day Jumble” Week. The week will begin with an Earth
Day Scavenger Hunt, followed by a game resembling dodgeball
that Chloe grew up playing at Summer Camp. The week will also
include tissue paper earth crafts, as well as recycled material crafts,
where students will be able to choose their own materials from our
storage closet. We may even have a special visit on Thursday April
21st from a geologist who studies earthquakes!
Our Mother’s Day Makings Week will be held at the end of April this
year. Students will have opportunities to make unique gifts and
cards, as well as pot plants to give to special people in their lives.
Through all of these fun activities, we hope to continue getting
outdoors as much as possible. Towards the end of the school year,
there will be a couple more “outdoor only” days, which the students
have seemed to really enjoy so far. Hopefully we will have nice
weather to soak up some sun and have fun outside!

Just a Friendly Reminder…
*TRACKER FEE: A fee of $5 will be charged if your child has not checked in by 3:05 pm. This fee
will also occur each time a staff member is required to locate a child who has left the SACC
area without permission, or has not provided advanced notice of an absence. Children who
are reported ill during the school day will be exempt from this rule. This fee does apply to parttime students who have different days each week, if the schedule for each week is not turned
in by 2:50 pm on Monday.
