NOTE
• Samsung Smart Home App supports android operating system 4.0(ICS) or higher and is
optimized with Samsung Smart phones (Galaxy S or Note series). If you run the App using a
Smart phone manufactured by other companies, some functions may operate differently.
• For iPhone users, the App supports iOS7 or higher.
• For iPhone users, the App is available as of July, 2015.
• The UI of Samsung Smart Home App can be changed for improvement of usability and
performance without advanced notice and may differ from images in this manual.
Upon opening the Smart home app, you will be
asked to sign in or register for a Samsung
account.

After signing in you will be asked to
accept an agreement to update app as
needed.
First Screen you will see after you
accept the “End-User License
Agreement”
At the bottom of this page you willl
notice that there are 3 Pages. Swipe
right to access “ADD DEVICE”

Click on “ADD DEVICE”
When using an Apple device you will need to
enter your Samsung account information
again.

If you are installing this with a DVM, DVM
Eco, or FJM, select “System AC”
After selecting the “SYSTEM AC” this screen
will appear. Follow directions exactly on this
screen. Press the AP button on the side of
the WI-FI module. Then press the home
button, select your settings then WIFI .
Select the “DIRECT-SMARTDVM”.

When prompted you will have to enter the password.
The correct password is “1111122222”. That is 5-1’s
and 5-2’s.
You will now be connected to that WIFI.
Press the home button and select the SMART
HOME APP again.

Once you are back in the app click on the
next button. You will be directed to connect
to your wireless router. Select your router
and enter your password.
The you will be prompted to connect your phone
or device back to the wireless router. Click the
home button, select your setting and the click on
your router under the wifi options. Your phone will
then connect back to your router. Click the home
button and go back to the SAMSUNG SMART
HOME app. C lick on the “NEXT” button.

After selecting “NEXT” the phone should
automatically do the next steps. It will place a
check mark next to the “NETWORK
SETTINGS” and continue the authentication
process.
It will then say setup is complete. You will
be directed to this screen and you will be
ready to control the Sytem AC. Note at the
top of the screen you see you are now
connected to 1 device. Skip this step and
swipe right on the screen.
*NOTE THIS WAS DONE ON AN ACCOUNT
THAT SEVERAL USERS ARE ALREADY
CONNECTED TO.

You will now notice that there is a new icon
on the screen. Tap on the new icon to load
the air conditioner units.
It will then show you all of the indoor units.
*THIS SYTEM ONLY HAS 2 INDOOR UNITS.
ONE IS A HIGH WALL AND THE OTHER IS A
LOW WALL MOUNT. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT
ICONS.

Click on the upper right hand corner and
this screen will display. Select settings.
Click on the Circle arrow. This will sync the
time in the wifi module with your device. If
this is not done your schedules you set may
not operate when you want them to.
