Grafting clips for all horticultural crop
Brinkman has designed complete lines of grafting clips for all horticultural crops. The growing conditions of seedlings
depend strongly on the light conditions and temperature. In northern countries with winter planting the seedlings are
normally softer and longer and in the southern countries with a warmer (Mediterranean) climate, with high light intensities
and higher temperature the seedlings are shorter and harder. Under these different growing conditions also different
grafting clips are required.
Brinkman has developed different lines of grafting clips.
For tomato, pepper and eggplant:
• PT2: standard clip for Mediterranean climate
• PT3: softer than standard clip with oval shaped hole
• PT4: clip for Mediterranean climate with stick slot
• PT7: soft and flexible clip for universal climate use
• PT8: soft and flexible clip with stick slot and very smooth grip
On demand the grafting clips can be delivered in different colors
(transparent, red, green, yellow and blue) this can make it easier to
distinguish for example clip size, varieties or lots grafted at the same
time.
Approximation grafting
The cucurbits have different grafting methods and for this reason we have designed different
grafting clips for each method. Melons and watermelons can be grafted on pumpkin, squash
or bottle gourd rootstock. Most used grafting methods are splice graft or Japanese graft and
the approximation graft.
For cucumber, melon and watermelon:
• PS1: for splice graft (Japanese grafting method)
• PS2: for approximation graft
• PS3: for approximation graft, available in 3 sizes
• PS6: for approximation grafting with stick slot, is a good substitute for grafting pegs
• PS7: for splice graft (Japanese grafting method)
The grafting clips for cucumber, melon and watermelon can be delivered in different colors
(transparent, red, green, yellow, blue or black) what makes it easier to difference the lots.

Japanese grafting
All our grafting clips are made of the materials with food safety and FDA certificates and 100% recyclable. Many years of
experience have given very good results with these materials.
Grafting is still in evolution and for this reason Brinkman continues developing grafting clips in close contact with nurseries
all around the world.
