September 2016 Dear Parents Welcome back to the start of another academic year at Trinity. We were delighted to welcome back all our students; our new Year 7s and our new sixth formers are all settling in very well. We have lots of new exciting opportunities and events planned for the whole of this academic year, including new GCSE and A level courses, as well as new House events and competitions. This year we will be entering a Sixth Form Team into the Bar Trial due to our success at the Mock Trials each year. House Performing Arts is also a new event for us to enjoy. I have been talking to students this week about making the most of every opportunity that comes their way, and seizing every chance to do this. There are so many things they can get involved with at Trinity; these could be things that they already have a talent or skill in, or it could be something new. We are very fortunate in that we have excellent teaching staff, excellent facilities and we will always offer activities and opportunities in order for our students to be the very best that they can be. We have also been thinking about our right to education and how we should be thankful for this, particularly when in many parts of the world there are children who are not as fortunate. We shared some other children’s stories in our House assemblies this week. I am delighted that we have added to our talented teaching team this term as we welcome the following new staff: Mrs Kutz Teacher of MFL Miss Coopey Mrs Killner Teacher of Music Teacher of Business Studies Mrs Llewellyn Miss Prout Teacher of Maths Teacher of English Ms French Mrs Edwards Teacher of Science Teacher of English Ms Thompson Mr Roebuck Teacher of English Teacher of Science Mr Martin Mr Byrne Teacher of Dance Teacher of PE Ms Punshon Teacher of Computing Mrs Grogan Miss Groves Mr Bradford Teaching Assistant – ASD Unit Teaching Assistant – ASD Unit IT Technician Mr Scholl Miss Meechan Mrs Turnham Miss Oakham Teaching Assistant Teaching Assistant Finance Assistant Art Technician Dr Hough Miss Rankin Dr Pradhan Miss Rudkin Miss Osterritter Mr Peacock Mrs Creteur Mrs Keevill School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee School Direct trainee - Biology D& T Food Biology Biology English History MFL Maths I wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate again the achievement of all our examination students from the summer; they all achieved exceptionally well and made progress that puts us in the top 25% of schools nationally. I am looking forward to seeing you all over the course of this half-term. Yours sincerely Mrs C Wilson Executive Headteacher
