Local charity invites Cardiff Bay community to help raise money for Right To Learn Scheme
Local Cardiff based charity, Theatre Versus Oppression will be holding a Jumble and Plant Sale at
their Coffee Morning at Butetown History and Arts Centre in Cardiff Bay on Saturday 5 April from
10am – 1pm to help raise money for charity.
Once a month, Theatre Versus Oppression hosts a Coffee Morning to raise money for orphans in
Africa. The Coffee Moring is open to anyone and for this month they are hosting a Jumble and Plant
Sale. Over the year, supporters have made item donations for them to sell to help raise money for
the cause. Plus, volunteers Emily and Charlotte have been busy the last few months planting seeds
ready for people to buy and plant in their own garden or allotments.
All donations will help Theatre Versus Oppression deliver the Right To Learn Scheme in Africa. There
will also be refreshments, a craft stall where you can buy or create and help support the charity.
Theatre Versus Oppression host a free coffee morning every month with additional events such as
speakers, knitting and sewing groups and ages and experiences welcome.
There’s no entry fee and you can pop into the Coffee Morning and also explore the Butetown
Museum and Art Centre for free while you are on Bute Street.
