During our three weeks of
summer camp, which took
place in St., Catharines,
Welland and Niagara Falls–
our 2016 theme was based
on the famous TV series
The Amazing Race. Our
campers had the
opportunity to participate in
a variety of fun and
challenging activities that
pushed their limits that
focused on team work
and communication, all
while conquering Detours
and Road Blocks to figure
out their Route Info. Our
campers and staff had an
amazing time. A lot of new
friends and memories
were made and we
ensured to beat the heat
with splash pads, pools
and water balloons! See
you next year campers for
a new
adventure!
We are pleased to announce
that Erica has taken on a new
role with Powerhouse Project as
our Program Manager! Erica’s
time will be spent between the
Niagara and Haldimand-Norfolk
offices as she provides support
and oversight of our programs.
Some Friendly Reminders to our Families...
Just a reminder to parents that work cell phones will be answered during our typical work
week hours: Monday to Thursday 12:30pm – 8:30 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Staff will be
unable to answer work cell phones when off duty; however we will be sure to respond by the
next business day.
We have the privilege of using DSBN schools for our programs. We ask our families to take
the time to respectfully follow their policies including indoor non-marking shoes (warn
indoors at all times) and ensuring all food and snacks are nut free products.
Please ensure your child has a refillable water bottle, proper clothing and footwear for
program.
Transportation is a service we provide to our families on a need to need basis. We
understand that life can get busy and schedules and circumstances change. However, we ask
that you respect this policy and use it only when needed.

Mission:
Thanks Cayleigh….it was a great summer!
This summer I had the
privilege of working with
Erica and Gus in the
summer program. I also
was lucky enough to get
to meet some amazing
kids who taught me a lot
about joy, laughter, and
being resilient. Every day
spent with the kids was a
new adventure in camp
where we gained skills like
teamwork, balance, and
problem solving while
having a lot of fun. We
were also able to show

youth, young adults and

recreational and educational
programs intended to foster
resilience, self-esteem, and
life skills.
our strengths individually
and as a team in our
Amazing Race challenges
such as Road Blocks or
Detours. I really want to
thank all the kids, Erica,
Gus, and Michelle for
being so welcoming and
allowing me to be a
part of this amazing
program and agency.
Thank you everyone,
*Cayleigh
