The highlight of this event will be two MGR sanctioned shows to be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012. 2012 MGR Razorback Rumble (Show A) 9:00 AM 2012 MGR Myotonic Mayhem (Show B) 2:00 PM Benton County Fairgrounds 7640 SW Regional Airport Blvd Bentonville, AR 72712 May 26, 2012 If you will be showing in only one of the two shows be sure to select the appropriate show “A” or “B” on the entry form. If you plan to show in both then please check both “ A” & “B” as well as completing the entry form and mail it to the Show Secretary along with your Stall Request form. MGR rules to govern and take precedence over all other. Check in is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday May 25, 2012 see rule #24 re: late entries Show “A” will start promptly a 9:00 am and Show “B” at 2:00 pm. Judges will be: Sara Stewart, Show A (ADGA judge) Julie Berry, Show B (International Boer Goat Assn judge) We will be offering a goat clinic from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, May 26 with Marion Harris, DVM. The first half hour will be a general goat health discussion and the last half hour will be for question and answer session. MGR SANCTIONED SHOW RULES 1. Goats must be registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry. The ORIGINAL registration certificate MUST accompany the goat during check-in. Kids under three (3) months of age must be registered for any sanctioned classes. No pending registrations will be accepted at check-in. 2. Age eligibility for classes will be determined by date of birth on the registration certificate. 3. The full correct registered name of goat must be used on the entry forms. 4. The goats permanent ID (USDA scrapie tag, tattoo, or microchip) must be on the Certificate and registered with the MGR. 5. The correct Breeder/Exhibitor name as on the Reg. Certificate must be on the entry form, unless you have a signed transfer application that is dated 45 days or less to the show date. 6. No exhibitor shall approach the judge until after the conclusion of the show. Any exhibitor found to be fraternizing with the judge shall be excused & disqualified from the show and no refund will be given. 7. Substitutions will be allowed at Check-In within the same class at no charge. 8. Show will start promptly at 9:00 am and second show at 2:00 pm. 9. Goats must be checked in from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, May 25, 2012. After hours check-in MUST be cleared with show secretary before May 26, 2012 at 6pm. Call 501-454-2936 or 479-899-2032 10. Goats will be released immediately after the show but may stay until (11:00 am) Monday, May 28, 2012. 11. All goats MUST have a health certificate not dated before May 11, 2012 and the show address must be your destination. Scrapie rules apply. If you use microchips, you must furnish a working reader. Tattoos MUST be legible. Scrapie tags are acceptable. You MUST bring an extra copy of your goat's health certificate that will be retained by the show secretary. 12. All goats must be shown with collar. Bucks must be secure at all times. 13. Show secretary reserves the right to split large classes. 14. Entry fee: $8.00 per goat/ per show including kids in sanctioned classes. 15. Entries must be received no later than May 4, 2012. 16. MGR Rules to govern and to take precedence over all others 17. No refunds of entry fees. 18. This is a ribbon and points show. Any available awards will be announced at the show. 19. Goats may be sold private treaty. Any goats sold must be entered in show. 20. Any item that comes up that is not specifically covered by these rules will be decided by the show committee and their decision will be final. 21. All goats entering (AR) for exhibition must meet all the requirements for entry into (AR). Goats may be examined on grounds by show personnel. Goats showing evidence of disease, particularly foot rot, sore mouth, abscesses will not be allowed to enter the barn or show and may be released by officials. 22. No animal with an open wound shall be allowed to be unloaded on the showground. The organizers of this show and the facility will not be liable for any loss, damages or accidents to animals, persons or property while participating in the show. Youth exhibitors are to be accompanied by a responsible adult. 23. No alcoholic beverages or smoking in the barns or arena allowed. 24. Late entries will be accepted up until 6pm Friday, May 25th at the fee of $12.00 per goat/per show. If late entry is mailed after May 4th you must call the show secretary with necessary show/goat information in case the mailed entry along with payment is not received before show secretary leaves for the show.
