Imagine you`re at your favorite fast food restaurant and from the back

Imagine you’re at your favorite fast food restaurant and from the back you hear a woman screaming
that her husband isn’t breathing. Would you know what to do? Now imagine you are in a park and you
hear someone in a panic ask a crowd of people if anyone knew how to do CPR. Would you know what to
do? How about having a child run out from between parked cars while you’re on your bike. How would
you respond?
The answers to these questions, and probably many more are offered several times a year. Not
necessarily through me, but classes offered at different events or sister Chapters. Are you taking
advantage of these training sessions? Are you up-to-date?
At our next chapter meeting I have a presentation for a couple of people that have reached level 1.
While this may not seem a major accomplishment to many of you, it is to them. This means they have
taken that first step that says, “I want to enjoy my rides more by riding safe.”
As many of you have guessed, it’s that time of year again for me to stress training (not just the
meetings, but real training), and have you get credit for it. I will be bringing the paperwork for everyone
to sign (hopefully) that will let me know what level rider they are and when their last training classes
have been held. I will be once again updating my spread sheet, so please bring all of your proof as to the
last time you took a class. Once I get a complete list, I’ll be able to help you in maintaining your proper
riding levels.
If you are interested, I’ll have that spread sheet at the next meeting so you can see what I already
have. It might be an eye opener.
In the month of March, I want everyone to think Conga Line!
Ride safe and have fun,
