John Paul II High School is an exceptional place of learning, dedicated to providing a
superior spiritual, academic, athletic, and artistic experience in a competitive college
preparatory environment and committed to creating Catholic leaders. John Paul II High
School students are college bound, focused and ready to make an impact at both the local
and global levels.
John Paul II High School’s college preparatory curriculum is a rigorous four-year program
designed to foster the highest level of readiness, preparing students for their next steps in
the continuous education process.
COURSE PLACEMENT
Students are placed into specific course levels at the recommendation of each department. These decisions are based on
previous grades, motivation and department prerequisites.
PRE-ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES
John Paul II High School offers Pre-AP courses in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, Art and
Foreign Language.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Advanced Placement courses are offered in Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Computer Science A, English
Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, French Language, Latin Vergil, Macroeconomics, Physics, Spanish
Language, Spanish Literature, Statistics, Studio Art 2-D, Studio Art 3-D, Art Portfolio, American Government, and
United States History. Sophomores can take AP World History, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, and AP
Computer Science if they have met the prerequisites.
The Campus Ministry Department complements the mission of the school and the
theology department by helping students develop their personal relationships with God
through Mass and the Sacraments. The Eucharist is celebrated on a regular basis with
the entire school population. Class retreats, Christian Service, and Mission Trips play an
important role in the spiritual development of the students at John Paul II High School.
Students are given the opportunity to build lasting relationships with their classmates while
they explore their faith.
