From O’Hare International Airport (17 miles)
By Car (for informational purposes only, we do not recommend renting a car):
• Merge onto I-190 E toward CHICAGO LOOP.
• I-190 E becomes KENNEDY EXPY E / I-90 E.
• Take the IL-64 / NORTH AVE / 1600 N exit- EXIT 48B
• Turn LEFT onto W NORTH AVE / IL-64.
• The Latin School is at the southeast Corner of Clark Street and North Avenue.
By El: (approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes. Cost: $5.00 from O’Hare to downtown and $2.25 from
downtown to O’Hare.)
Follow the signs for the Trains to the City. Take the CTA Blue Line to Clark and Lake. You will have to exit
the station at Clark and Lake and walk two blocks east along Lake to State Street and the Red Line station.
Take the Red Line el from State Street north toward Howard to the Clark/Division stop (northeast corner exit).
Walk four blocks north on Clark Street. The Latin School is at the corner of Clark St. and North Ave.

From Midway Airport (13 miles)
By Car (for informational purposes only, we do not recommend renting a car):
• Merge onto I-55 N / STEVENSON EXPY N.
• Take the I-90 W / RYAN EXPY / I-94 W exit- EXIT 292A- toward WISCONSIN.
• Merge onto I-90 W / I-94 W via EXIT 53A toward WISCONSIN.
• Take the EAST OHIO ST exit- EXIT 50B.
• Stay STRAIGHT to go onto W OHIO ST.
• Turn LEFT onto N LA SALLE BLVD / N LA SALLE ST.
• Turn RIGHT onto NORTH AVE.
• End at The Latin School (Corner of Clark St. and North Ave.)

Follow the signs for the Trains to the City. Take the CTA Orange Line to Roosevelt. At Roosevelt, transfer to
the Red Line toward Howard and take the el to the Clark/Division Stop (northeast corner exit). Walk four
blocks north on Clark Street. The Latin School is at the corner of Clark St. and North Ave.

Other Public Transportation Options
In addition to the El, the school is accessible by public transportation on the #22 Clark Street, #36 Broadway,
#11 Lincoln Avenue or #72 North Ave. buses. It is also five blocks east of the Brown Line’s Sedgwick El stop.

Parking
Street Parking: Permit “residential” parking is strictly enforced in this neighborhood and metered parking will
not be a good option for a day-long workshop. Street parking on LaSalle Street (1 block west of the school
between North and Division) is available without a permit or meters. On the west side of the street parking is
available after 9:30 am. On the east side of the street parking is available until 4:00 pm. However, this parking
is limited.
There is also free street parking without a permit (if available) on Dearborn and State between North and
Division. Please adhere to parking signs.
Paid Parking: Parking is available at several public lots near the Latin School. The closest public lots to Latin
include: The Constellation, at 1555 N. Dearborn; the James House, at 1560 N. Sandburg; and the Faulkner
House, at 70 W. Burton, offer some public parking. Estimated cost for daily parking at these facilities is $15-20.
Additional lots in the area include: The Chicago History Museum's underground lot in Lincoln Park located off
Stockton Drive (just north of the LaSalle Street feeder to Lake Shore Drive), and The Piper's Alley garage
entrance is on North Avenue just west of Wells Street.

price/location, make a reservation and receive an electronic parking pass to print or use on your smartphone.
Your parking space is guaranteed and you will also receive directions to your parking location. You may be
able to find reduced parking rates, subject to availability, by using ParkWhiz for daily and/or overnight parking
in downtown Chicago.
