Our members and their businesses continue to take prominent leadership roles in local, regional, and national business and community positions. HIGHLIGHTS • Warren Anderson and his company, Anderson-DuBose Company, created 50 jobs and retained 94 existing positions as part of a $24 million project to consolidate the company’s warehousing and distribution functions. A loan from the State of Ohio Department of Development assisted in this significant project. Leon Anderson President of Sports & Spine Physical Therapy, Inc. (SSPT), and member of the Emerging Entrepreneurs Class of 2004. Leon worked in orthopedic manual therapy for years, and then launched SSPT. Through the Emerging Entrepreneurs Program, he gained knowledge and connections that have allowed his business to thrive. Recently, Leon has more than doubled his revenues and number of employees and grown to three main locations in two states with an aquatic satellite office. EMERGING ENTREPRENEURS The Emerging Entrepreneurs Program continues to help create the next generation of successful minority business owners in Northeast Ohio. Since the program’s inception in 2001, 85 Emerging Entrepreneurs have graduated from the program. This summer we graduated 10 more entrepreneurs, who spent a year in Baldwin-Wallace College classrooms learning the skills and making the connections to make their businesses flourish.
