Charlie Pendant Control Station is an electromechanical device
for low voltage control circuits (EN 60947-1, EN 60947-5-1) to
be used as electrical equipment on machines (EN 60204-1)
in compliance with the fundamental requirements of the Low
Voltage Directive 2014/35/UE and of the Machine Directive
2006/42/CE.
Thependantstationisdesignedforindustrialuseandalsofor
useunderparticularlysevereclimaticconditions(operational
temperaturefrom–25°Cto+70°C,suitableforuseintropical
environment).Theequipmentisnotsuitableforusein
environmentswithpotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere,corrosive
agentsorahighpercentageofsodiumchloride(salinefog).
Oils,acidsorsolventsmaydamagetheequipment;avoid
usingthemforcleaning.
Theswitches(10,16,21)*aredesignedforauxiliarycontrol
ofcontactorsorelectromagneticloads(utilisationcategory
AC-15accordingtoEN60947-5-1).Donotconnectmorethan
onephasetoeachswitch(10,16,21).Donotoilorgreasethe
controlelements(03,05,07,08,12)ortheswitches(10,16,
21).
Theinstallationofthependantstationshallbecarriedoutby
anexpertandtrainedpersonnel.Wiringshallbeproperlydone
accordingtothecurrentinstructions.
Priortotheinstallationandthemaintenanceofthependant
station,themainpowerofthemachineryshallbeturnedoff.
Steps for the proper installation of the pendant station
-Unscrewandremovethefrontring(24)andthecableclamp
(26).
-Openthelowercover(14).
-Insertthecableintothecableclamp(26)toalengthsuitable
forwiringtheswitches.
-Stripthecabletoalengthsuitableforwiringtheswitches
(10,16,21).
-Tapethestrippedpartofthecable.
-Connectalltheswitches(10,16,21)accordingtothe
contactschemeprintedontheswitches(tightenthewires
intotheterminalswithatorqueequalto0.6Nm(5.3lbs/
inch);insertabilityofwiresintotheswitchterminalsequalto
2x1.5mm2–1x2.5mm2(UL(c)UL:use60°cor75°ccopper
(CU)conductors)).
-Screwthefrontring(24)tocloseenclosureandlowercover
(14)(checktheproperpositioningofthecouplingpinofthe
lowercover(14)andoftherubber(15)).
-Tightenthecableclamp(26)onthecabletightenoughto
guaranteeprotectionagainstwaterand/ordust.
