FAQS - GOOD NIGHT LIGHT
What are Good Night™ LED lights?
The Good Night LED light is perfect for anyone looking to fall asleep more easily or to have a more relaxed, natural ambiance in their home or business.
Put in your bedside lamp or the place you spend time before going to bed. The light will allow you to fall asleep without giving up your normal nightly
routine. Ideally, the Good Night light should be your sole source of illumination two hours prior to sleep and you should avoid using smart screens without
blue filters.
How do these lights work?
Good Night helps you fall asleep more easily by supporting your body’s natural circadian rhythms. Good Night lights work with your body’s natural
melatonin production, unlike other light sources that can emit certain wavelengths of light that can disrupt our circadian rhythm. These wavelengths are in
the blue range of the light spectrum hence we call them “blue light.”
What is melatonin?
Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body in the “biological night” when it is dark. It is necessary for proper sleep, but it is also a powerful
antioxidant and has many beneficial health effects. Many experts believe natural melatonin is far better for us than melatonin supplements.
How are these lights different than my current bedside lighting?
Good Night lights emit far less blue wavelengths than other lights but they look and feel like regular white lights. Traditional light bulbs contain those blue
wavelengths that suppress melatonin so when you’re ready to go to bed, your body is not.
What is a biologically corrected light?
The Good Night light is the first and only biologically corrected white LED light on the market. Using photobiology (the study of effects of light on living
organisms), this light has been optimized to work with the body rather than just provide illumination.

Can I see a difference in the color of the lighting?
Definity Digital products were produced with optimum color rendering in mind. The lights give off a very attractive warm, glowing hue just like a familiar
incandescent-type light bulb.
Is this technology patented?
Yes, the Good Night light uses patented technology that was developed by scientists from Lighting Science, in conjunction with NASA and sleep researchers
from Harvard Medical School.
How do I know this technology works?
The Good Night lights use technology developed with NASA to enable astronauts to better manage their sleep, rather than relying on chemical sleep aids.
The Good Night light is based on nearly 20 years of research funded by NASA. Although it may seem very futuristic, the science and resulting technology
is real and you can benefit from it today.
Does anyone else make these light bulbs?
The Good Night light from Lighting Science is a proprietary technology. You can only find them at authorized resellers or at DefinityDigital.com.
Why should I choose the Good Night light over other sleeping pills or other sleep aids?
Good Night light bulbs cost significantly less than other sleep aids on the market and it promotes your natural health in a non-invasive and non-chemical
way. Light therapy is safe unlike many prescription sleep-aids. Even melatonin tablets do not work as well, as they will inhibit your body’s ability to produce
melatonin naturally.
FAQS - AWAKE & ALERT
What are Awake & Alert™ LED lights?
The Awake & Alert light bulb jump starts your day in a natural way, when used in the morning. You can also use the Awake & Alert throughout the day
when you feel that you need to boost your alertness or performance.
How does it help to promote alertness and performance?
Research has shown that exposure to blue-enriched lighting promotes alertness, increases energy and enhances overall performance. The Awake & Alert
lights are optimized with an increased blue light spectrum to enhance this natural response.
What does this spectrum of blue light do?
Recently discovered photo-receptors present in the eyes absorb this blue light and signals your brain that it is time to be more energetic and alert.
Is this technology real?
The Awake & Alert technology was developed to assist flight crews with circadian alignment while in residence on the International Space Station.
Astronauts can use this technology to align their cycles allowing them to work more effectively. Many studies have shown the effectiveness of blue light
used in this way.
Is this technology patented?
Yes, the Awake & Alert light uses patented technology that was developed by scientists from Lighting Science, in conjunction with NASA and researchers
from Harvard Medical School.
Will it work for jet lag mitigation?
Awake & Alert can be used for jet lag mitigation to promote alertness and alleviate time zone disruptions.

Will it benefit those with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)?
Awake & Alert can be used to promote alertness and energy during the winter months or in environments with limited exposure to sunlight.
Can it help my teenager who can’t seem to wake up on time?
During teenage years, biological sleep patterns shift toward later times. This is known as Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (DSPD). Awake & Alert light bulbs
can be used to promote alertness and energy in the morning that can help restore a healthy circadian rhythm in teens.
Why should I choose Awake & Alert lights over other energy boosters?
Awake & Alert light bulbs are long lasting and energy efficient. They cost less than the average monthly spend on energy supplements or caffeinated drinks
and promote your natural health in a non-invasive and non-chemical way.
FAQS - MYNATURE COASTAL
What are MyNature Coastal lights?
MyNature Coastal lights are designed with a special spectrum that does not distract nesting or hatching sea turtles.
Why would I need these lights?
Beachfront and beachside resorts and homeowners are frequently required to turn off their property’s lighting due to local ordinances during sea turtle
season (May – November). Leaving guests in the dark is dangerous and a liability. The MyNature Coastal light allow you to use lighting throughout turtle
hatching season. The MyNature Coastal lights are certified by the FWC as sea-turtle friendly and comply with ordinances.
Is the technology real?
Research has shown that sea turtles are less distracted by long wavelengths of light, and that their vision is limited to a specific directional field. The Coastal
light uses these features in an LED version for greater energy savings.
Are they environmentally-friendly?
LED lamps use significantly less energy than incandescent bulbs. They do not contain mercury or lead, and can be recycled in the same way as any other
electronic device. Because they are so long lasting, less LED lamps end up in landfills than traditional lights.
Why are MyNature Coastal lights better than the other yellow or red lighting some people use?
MyNature Coastal LED lighting offers the benefits of controllability and dimming combined with energy savings, unlike other traditional sources. Also, often
the other yellow and red sources of lighting are only covered by filters. These filters do not change the actual wavelength of the light and may not fall within
FWC sea-turtle friendly lighting guidelines.
