Souls in Purgatory. The Church commemorates all
her faithful children who have departed from this
life, but have not yet attained the joys of heaven.
You are welcome to celebrate a Holy Mass
honoring your loved ones. The Diocesan
suggested stipend will be $10.00 per Mass.

ALL SAINTS CHILI COOK OFF
Sunday, Nov. 6th at 4:30 in the parish hall…
All are invited to participate CCD fundraiser.
There are many ways to help:
Enter the chili contest and compete for prizes,
attend and eat chili, purchase raffle tickets for
the 50/50 raffle (must be present to win), bid
to win yard work done by our teenagers in
an auction, or all of the above! And if you are
a kid – enter the saint drawing contest!
Everyone wins a prize there will be special
prizes for people’s choice winners per age
category. *We need volunteers to sign up for

Today marks the anniversary of the dedication if
the Cathedral church of Rome, on land owned by
the Laterani Family, by Pope St. Sylvester I,
November 9, 324; honored as the episcopal seat of
the Pope as Bishop of Rome; according to an
inscription which Pope Clement XII placed on the
façade, this Basilica is the “Mother and head of all
churches of Rome and the world”. Pope Innocent
X commissioned the present structure in 1646;
beneath its high altar rests the remains of the
small wooden table on which, according to
tradition, St. Peter celebrated Mass.

St. Leo the Great was ab=n aminent Pastor and
preacher; defender of the Roman primacy;
combatteed Pelagianism and Manicheism; his
Tome on Christ’s two natures was adopted by the
Council of Chalcedon; many of his prayers are
found in the Roman Missal. He save d Rome from
marauding and Vandals.

St. Martin was from Pannonia, Hungary; a soldier
turned Chritian at eighteen; disciple of St. Henry;
he founded the first monastery in the West;
Bishop of Tours, France. First non-Martyr with
annual feast in the western Church.

St. Josaphat Kuncevych.….†1623
St. Josaphat was born in Poland, raised Ukranian
Orthodox, becoming a Basilian monk of the
Ruthernian Rite Vlina; his fidelity to the Roman
See and his desire for union between the Ukranian
church led to his murder at Vitebsk. s
