The Cao Dai religion was originally established in Tay Ninh in 1926. Famed for its fruit orchards, coconut groves and hundreds of small islands, the province is an ideal place to see the true life of the delta region. Once said to be the city’s most heavily guarded building, the embassy was damaged during the notorious TET Offensive in 1968. See where the Americans and Vietnamese were evacuated by helicopter from the rooftop during the last days of the Fall of Saigon in 1975.
