Is that you I hear singing? The noise of rejoicing, your sounds of joyful praise reflect your strength as the joy of the Lord reigns. What do we have to be so happy about? Toward the end of King David’s life when he was old and feeble, his son Adonijah began to reign without David’s knowledge. When David became aware of it, he called Zadok the priest to anoint the chosen king, Solomon. In Gihon beside the river that flows out of Eden, Solomon was anointed king while Adonijah sought to hold on to the horns of the altar. Solomon spared his life. Today we rejoice because God has “anointed Jesus of Narareth with the Holy Ghost and with power...” and He has spared our lives. Today He reigns. Today we hold to the horns of the altar and the mercy of Jesus Christ. Do you hear His laughter, his joy because you depend upon His power and love. Your voice of praise is beautiful. Don’t stop singing. Acts 10:38 Nehemiah 8:9 I Kings 1:15-53 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Hi-VMxT6fc
