dinner?”
In the wild west, when a cowboy had to work all
day, the chance to enjoy a nice meal was seldom.
Dinner was merely a quick ration before
bedtime, as the mornings often came too early.
On those rare occasions, usually on the weekends or a holiday, when a cowboy did find himself with some time, what he craved most was a
delicious meal and some company. That’s one of
the reasons Dutch Oven cooking came to have
the significance in the West it does today. Dutch
oven cooking is about slow roasting a meal until it
is at its most tender and flavorful—a meal meant
to be savored with friends. At Canyonlands by
Night, that’s exactly what we do. We serve five
different meats including, BBQ Pork, BBQ Beef,
BBQ Chicken, Roast Pork and Roast Beef. We
also offer slow roasted potatoes with spring vegetables and cheese melted through what we call
Cowpoke Potatoes. We also have Sweet Baked
Beans, Corn, homemade Rolls, a Salad Bar
and round out the meal with Dessert. It includes a
bottomless soft drink, or you can purchase some
local wine, beer or a fruit smoothie. Vegetarian
options available upon request.

The four hour jetboat excursion begins at our private dock
located two miles from downtown Moab. You’ll travel 64 miles
round-trip discovering arches, petroglyphs, a petrified forest, a
fossil bed, “Thelma and Louise Point”, Dead Horse Point State Park
and much more. Your guide will skillfully
navigate the jetboat on the Colorado River while
sharing the geology and history of the area. Photo
opportunities abound while you pass by remote side
canyons that lend themselves to chance sightings of
wildlife. Drinks and snacks are included on the trip.

Can’t choose between the Daytime Jetboat or the Sound and Light Show with
Dinner? With this combo, you don’t have too! Start with a 4 hour Daytime Jetboat
in either the morning or afternoon, and after a break, return back for the Sound
and Light Show with Dinner. Makes the perfect compromise to see the upper and
lower stretches of the Colorado River.
Sunset Jetboat / Night Show Combo*
Enjoy 1½ hour on a fast moving Sunset Jetboat down river for excellent
photography opportunities then return for the delicious Cowboy Style Dutch
Oven Dinner and the Sound and Light Show to finish the evening.

The Jetboat/ 4x4 Combo is one of the best ways to see the upper and lower parts
of the Colorado Plateau. You’ll cruise the river for approximately 64 miles round
trip in 4 hours, return back for a delicious riverside lunch and then hit the trail
in a comfortable suburban for 4 hours of off-road exploration.

The Hummer/ Jetboat Combo is one of our most popular combos! Start with
the exhilarating 2 hour Hummer adventure as you climb the infamous Hell’s
Revenge off-road trail, then enjoy a delicious riverside lunch. Next you will
glide along the Colorado River for a full 4 amazing hours as you head down to
the entrance of Canyonlands National Park and back. It will be a day well spent!

experience is necessary as you explore a variety of terrain led by your friendly
guide. Then you can sit back and relax as we head down river on a fast moving
