Kickball isn't just for 8-year-olds anymore.
Hundreds of adults across the country will descend upon Sin City on
Saturday for a little child's play.

There are 72 adult kickball teams traveling to Las Vegas to compete
for the World Adult Kickball Association Founder's Cup.

One of those hopeful teams is Orlando's own "Super Skinnies."

In the 12 years of the tournament, there has never been an Orlando
winner.
Super Skinnies team captain Linh Chau is hoping to change that.
But they'll have a long climb.
The Skinnies are ranked 31st among 72 teams.
"Vegas is serious," Chau said.
If you're snickering about adults kicking around a red rubber ball, you
are not alone.
Even Chau, who works for the Bank of New York Mellon by day,
admits the game is mostly a social event.
After Thursday night games, Chau and teammates hit up Wall Street
for beers and laughs.

And with team names like Frosty Balls, Clam Chops and Pitch Please competing in the Vegas tournament, players
don't take themselves too seriously.
Official numbers are not kept, but WAKA officials say the number of adult kickball players has grown every year
since it became the largest sanctioning body for adult kickball in 1998.
Apparently, a lot of adults are looking for some childhood fun.
Considering the stressful times we live in today, who can blame them?
Football loves Pink
