Me Before You

Moyes
“Me Before You” is an outstanding
example of melodrama. Although
this literary genre is for people
waiting for disruptive,
extraordinary and emotional
stories.

Disabled Will Trainor ( Sam Claflin from”Hunger Games”) has
enough of living on a wheelchair. He told his mother about what he
decided, but she still tries to discourage him from his decision.
Soon in Trainor’s house there appeared Louisa Clark
( Emilia Clarke from ”Game of Thrones” ) – twenty six-year-old
woman without a job. She wanted to be Will’s new care
attendant. Their cooperation is not colorful. Lou gets to know
more about Will’s past and repeatedly attempts to be his friend.
Over time their relations get better and better. They fall in love.
Will something change ?
Will they live happily ever after ?
Watch this incredible film directed
by Thea Sharrock and get all the answers.

- ENGLISH IDIOMS 3.
I assume that you don't know what the
IDIOM
word ”
'' means. But don't worry – a lot
of people in Poland don't know it.
This column exist exactly up to show you,
what idioms are. In every number of this newssheet you can find this column to read some
interesting idioms and learn, what they mean.
CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT
Ugh, it sounds horrible. But – just like in previous
sentence – it's not about curious dead cat. It means
that curiosity it's something bad, it's ''FIRST STEP
TO HELL''.
But what is an ''IDIOM''?
Generally speaking, it's a word or a sentence,
which doesn't have a translation. I mean, you
can't say it e.g. in Polish, because it will sound
funny, stupid or won't have any sense.
And now when you know the meaning of
this extraordinarily word, I can show you some of
my favourite idioms.
1.
IT WILL HAPPEN
WHEN PIGS FLY
4.
COLD FEET
It means you are very NERVOUS about something.
I think that this idiom is really simple. It means exactly
what you can see: something will happen when pigs fly
– so – NEVER. I think that everyone know this
sentence because in Polish language we have
something really similar to above idiom.
2.
BY THE SKIN OF ONE'S
TEETH
This idiom is a little bit tougher. Because teeth haven't
got any skin, am I right? Anyway in fact the meaning of
this word is really simple. By the skin of one's teeth is
nothing else like just ''WITH WONDER'',
''HARDLY''.
I think, that's enough for the first
time :) Next month I will show you
more idioms. GET READY!
