Who We are
Worship Services
We are an Inter-Denominational Church made up
of people from all walks of life that love Jesus and
are committed to advancing His kingdom. Our
focus is on the Harvest of souls for the Kingdom of
God and its’ King, Jesus. We believe in the truth of
God’s word, have expressive praise and worship
and the gift of the Holy Spirit in operation.
We are a life-changing ministry founded on Biblical
Principles and concepts that encourages and
empowers people to live victorious lives and reach
others for Christ. We believe God has called Word
of Life Church to be a bright light in the Central
Texas Area. We are asking God to send us families
with a pioneer spirit to help us establish a great work
that will grow into a ministry that will have a
powerful impact not only on this area but also on
nations around the world. This describes Word of Life
Church.

Philosophy of Ministry
We believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today,
and forever. He is still seeking and saving the lost,
bringing all that will receive His love into eternal
relationship with Him. You are not just joining a
church but experiencing real life with others, which
can only come from Jesus, the source of life. Our
heart cry is to know Him and make Him known, not
just to adhere to some church doctrine but also to
really know Him and be changed by His word.
We believe God still empowers His people with the
Holy Spirit to be His witnesses to the world around us
and that the Holy Spirit still releases His gifts through
us just as He did in the book of Acts.
Our Prayer
It is our prayer that everyone who comes to Word Of
Life: Would know Jesus and continue to grow into His
image, that you would be empowered by the Holy
Spirit and be changed by the teaching of God’s
Word, that transcends every cultural, racial,
economical and denominational barrier.

Our vision is to impact our world, impart the
word, and to change lives.
Our mission is to reach people for Christ.
Our purpose is to empower people to impact
the World with the love of Christ.
We serve in the spirit of excellence with
integrity and compassion for our community
and our world. Our goal is to develop people
to become a caring community of faith,
cultivating, and maintaining a spirit of prayer,
evangelism, and discipleship that will develop
Christian maturity and enhance Church
growth. Our foundation is Christ, our legacy is
Holiness, our course is Ministry and our hope is
life eternal.
History
Word of Life Church founders, Pastor James and
First Lady Louise Jacobs began their ministry in
1994 in Lakewood, Washington under the direct
leadership of Supt. Leo and Barbara Brown.
Pastor Jacobs and First Lady Louise Jacobs
began with their family of six and grew to a
number that impacted over 400 members.
In 2005, The Lord enlarged their territory from
Washington State to the state of Texas where
they continued the vision of Word of Life with a
few of their members of the previous church.
Since then God has increased the membership
and is in construction to build a KINGDOM
Project for GOD’S GLORY!

Highlighted Ministries
Kids For Christ
KFC is designed to provide a
biblical foundation for children. KFC
introduces the children to the
concept of salvation, baptism, and
discipleship. (Ages 2 - 11)
Youth For Christ
YFC is designed to minister to
tweenagers. This ministry promotes
bible interpretation through skits and
plays. Bible studies provide
discipleship training to ensure the youth have
solid foundation before graduating to L.I.V.E.
youth. (Ages 12 - 14)
L.I.V.E. Youth
Living In Victory Everyday seeks to
provide a venue for teenage youth
to communicate on their level about
the Kingdom of God. The goal is to
raise a powerful generation of leaders who
have an appetite to be about their Fathers
Business. (Ages 15 - 18)
Collegian, Education & Opportunity
The mission of C.E.O. is to
provide young adults with an uplifting
atmosphere where vibrant relationships
flourish and real issues are addressed.
Men of Distinction
M.O.D. aide’s men in the
development of their relationship with
God, family and community. To
maximize manhood as we reach out
and build relationships between brotherhood.
Sister 2 Sister
S2S exist to bring women together for
prayer, fellowship, encouragement,
and spiritual growth.
