Gita Surie
Biography
Gita Surie is Associate Professor of Management at Adelphi University. Her research interests
include technological innovation, knowledge transfer and organizational evolution, globalization,
entrepreneurship, emerging economies, and leadership.
She is the author of the 2009 book, Knowledge, Organizational Evolution, and Market
Creation:
The
Globalization
of
Indian

from
Steel

(Edward Elgar Publishing). Professor Surie holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Management
from the Wharton School, a Master's in Economics from Columbia University and a B.A. with
honors from Loreto College, Calcutta University.

globalization strategies of developing economy firms, management of technological innovation, new
organizational forms, innovation systems and economic development, leadership and ethics.
