Since 1968, Maroondah Singers have been giving pleasure to both members and
audiences in the presentation of a wide range of choral music, including classical,
spiritual, jazz, folk and songs from musicals.

Dr John Atwell
Accompanist & Associate Artist
John was accompanist and resident associate artist with the choir for 18 years and
returned to us in 2010 after a 13 year break. John is now retired from his career as a
medical research scientist and is spending more time with his music and his family.
John is perhaps better known for his entertainment of audiences over 40 years on
theatre and classical pipe organs in Australia, UK, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
Patrice Marshall
Assistant Accompanist
Patrice is a graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in piano. She has
conducted and performed in orchestras, brass bands, choirs and church music, and now
specialises in instrumental teaching and accompanying choirs.
Lyndon Green

Musical Director
A graduate of Melbourne University and RMIT, Lyn has worked as a psychologist and
teacher, and is now in private practice. Music has also been a big part of her life and
Lyn has enjoyed conducting school and community choirs for over 30 years. Lyn is a
member of the Music Department at St Catherine’s School, Toorak where she conducts
a school choir, and is the Deputy Music Director of the Victoria Welsh Male Choir.

2016 Vocal Scholar
Recently completing a B. Mus. (Hons) at Melbourne Conservatorium, Lyndon has won
the 2016 West Gippsland Aria Award & Tim Pretty Vocal Scholarship. He has
performed in China, and will perform the Mozart Requiem in D minor in September
with Victoria Chorale and Nanki-Poo in The Mikado with Savoy Opera in October.
