Library News
The top 10 Accelerated Readers in grades 1- 5
were treated to Lunch with the Librarian at
Chuck E. Cheese’s in Florence on Thursday, May
16, 2013. The students enjoyed games, pizza,
brownies and prizes!!!

“Miss Martha” McElveen Honored
Miss Martha McElveen was honored with a retirement reception on May 5th. She enjoyed visiting with
friends, family, and former students whose lives she has touched over the years. Congratulations to
Miss Martha on her retirement!

Chapel Programs
Williamsburg Academy held 20 chapel programs
during the 2012-2013 school year. Director of
Guidance, Mrs. Valerie Webster , organized each
program and encouraged student participation.
The WA FCA, students, parents, teachers, and
community volunteers helped to make the programs a wonderful addition to the Williamsburg
Academy School Year!
The Class of 2013 set out to have the best
Senior Prank ever and their efforts did not
disappoint! On the morning of May 10th students and teachers arrived to find many surprises had been left for them.

anyone is tardy?
May Day
Williamsburg Academy held its annual May Day program on May 5th. Martha McClary was crowned May Queen 2013
and Katie Kellahan served as Maid of Honor. The entire May Court was treated to a performance by the Lower School
Chorus and the second grade May Pole Dancers and the May Court delighted the crowd with their Grand March.
