What is a Landform?

What is a Landform?
Landforms are features of the landscape or earth. They are formed naturally.
That means that nature, not people, made them. Landforms can be as small as a hill or
as large as a continent. There are many kinds of landforms. How many can you think of?
Geologists study landforms. They study how landforms are created and how
landforms interact with each other. Some scientists study just one kind of landform. For
example, volcanologists study volcanoes, and oceanographers study the ocean.
Some landforms are created or changed by constructive or deconstructive forces.
(We’ll talk more about those later!) Some landforms are created over a long period of
time, while others are formed quickly.
