Meghan Weaver

Meghan Weaver attended A.B . Lucas from 1999 to 2004. During those years she was one of the most
successful Track and field athletes to attend the school. When Meg was finished her High School career she
had won 7 TVRA Individual Championships, 6 WOSSAA , 6 Individual OFSAA Gold medals as well as an
OFSAA Silver and Bronze medal. Meghan specialized in the throwing events of shot put and discuss.
During a 3 year period at Lucas she was undefeated in every track meet she entered. After graduation
Meghan attended the University of Hawaii on a Track and Field Scholarship. In her senior year she was
named Captain of the University of Hawaii track and field team. During the 4 years she attended the
University of Hawaii she set the school record for the shot put and became the first athlete to qualify for
three events at the NCAA Regional championships- hammer, shot put, and discus. In 2006 she was named
the teams MVP. On the National Level Meg was the Canadian National shot put champion in 2006 and 2nd
in 2007 and 2008. She was a two time Canadian Jr. National Champion in the shot put and the discus.
