The Morning of the Monkey...
This morning, 27th September, we hosted the first pre-school taster event of the new academic year, aimed to give
young children from the local area and their parents a chance to see our school in action, to meet with one another and to have lots of fun too.
We were joined by Helena Harris, local artist, who brought along bags and bags bursting with wonderful resources.
She encouraged everyone to make their own monkey faces and Chinese lanterns using whatever materials they
liked, together with plenty of glue! The morning’s hard work was then rounded off with a story.
Adults all enjoyed the chance to chat and get to know one another and the children made new friends, wonderful
creations and ate lots of biscuits!
Lots of fun was had by everyone and we’re very much looking forward to our next event:
