SCHOOL UNIFORM
The School uniform is a mark of community that identifies the wearer as a student at Presbyterian School. It is the school’s
expectation that when a student is wearing the uniform it is worn properly. Presbyterian School students should be neat in
appearance and well groomed at all times. The School asks parents to be supportive of this expectation, even outside of
school. All uniforms should be marked with the student’s full name. Please refrain from using initials.
Grooming and Appearance
All shirttails must be tucked in at all times, with the
exception of the Middle School girls dress uniform shirt.
For the sake of modesty, girls should wear dark, solid color
shorts under their uniform skirts.
The hem of girls’ skirts must fall at or below 3 inches
above the top of the knee. Since middle school girls grow
during the school year, it is recommended that the skirt be
purchased at knee length. This will allow for the skirt to
remain an appropriate length as the student grows.
Shoes, Belts and Accessories
Socks must be worn with shoes.
Only closed-toe, flat-heeled shoes or athletic shoes may be
worn to school. Boots are not acceptable. Non-scuffing
athletic shoes should be worn during Motor Skills and
Physical Education classes.
Middle School students must have a pair of brown or black
leather dress shoes to wear with their dress uniform.
Belts must be worn with shorts or pants. Belt must be plain
and modest in size.
While jewelry is not a part of the school uniform, modest
religious charms secured on a necklace and worn under the
uniform are allowed for both girls and boys. In addition,
girls may wear stud earrings. Students may wear watches.
Only 8th grade girls may wear makeup to school. Makeup
should be “imperceptible”. Makeup should not be brought
to school or applied at school.
Hair should not cover the eyes. Boys hair should not reach
the collar of the shirt. Headbands, hair bows and scrunchies
are appropriate hair accessories for girls. Scarves and
kerchiefs may not be worn.
Only uniform outerwear may be worn inside school. Nonuniform cold weather outerwear may be worn to and from
school and on the playground.
P.E. Uniform
5th-6th grade students will be required to change into a
Presbyterian School physical education uniform consisting
of Sue Mills navy mesh shorts and any official Presbyterian
School t-shirt. Girls are asked to wear their hair tied back
for P.E. 7th-8th grade students may wear appropriate
workout clothes of their choice.
NEW Presbyterian sweatshirt and tie!
Sue Mills Uniform now offers a navy sweatshirt
with the word “PRESBYTERIAN” written on
the front.
The Presbyterian School tie has also been
redesigned. Middle School boys are welcome to
purchase the new PS tie or continue wearing the
old PS tie.
Where do I buy uniforms?
Uniforms should be purchased at Sue Mills, Inc. In order to
maintain an overall pleasing image of Presbyterian School
students, no substitutions of vendors or materials are
allowed, unless otherwise specified.
