Division Using a formal written method, the ‘chunking on a number line’, to divide two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers. Fractions Understanding tenths and the link to decimals and place value. Compare and order unit fractions and fractions with the same denominators Measurement Converting units of measurement in length, mass and capacity. Record measurements using mixed units, e.g.1 kg 200 g Geometry- angles Identify right angles, recognise that two right angles make a half-turn, three make three quarters of a turn and four a complete turn. French Animals – continued and expanded Colours and adjectives – clothes Foods – basic Basic verb forms Computing Developing coding skills, reinforcing existing knowledge and introducing ‘if’ command using Espresso Coding. Touch Typing and E Safety will continue to be covered as an ongoing objective. Music Chinese New Year – composition work introducing the pentatonic scale. Glockenspiel stage 2. PE/Games Basketball- ball familiarisation, passing and receiving, dribbling, shooting and simple rule such as the double dribble/travelling/personal fouls. Movement to music- folk dances Hockey Rugby Swimming- Thursday for the boys until February and then the girls until Easter. PSHE Dreams and goals Identifying dreams, goals and ambitions.
