School Clubs after Easter Holidays (3.30pm to 4.30pm)
There will be no after school clubs the first week back.
An Daras Multi Academy Trust
As you are all probably now aware, we are joining the An Daras Academy on 1st April.
During the changeover period please can all cheques be made payable to ‘Lew Trenchard
School fund’.
Easter Holiday
We hope you have a fantastic Easter holiday, and we’ll see you back at school on Tuesday 18th
April!
Snail Racing
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored races and snails for the Snail Racing event on
Saturday 1st April. The first race starts at 8.00pm, and the event is in aid of
Lewdown Cricket Club and Lew Trenchard School.
Easter Bingo
The Blue Lion are hosting Easter Bingo on Saturday 15th April in aid of Lew Trenchard School.
Eyes down 7.30pm.
Year 6 Residential Trip Meeting
There will be a meeting at Mary Tavy School on Wednesday 26 April to discuss the Year 6
Residential Trip at 6pm. Mr Woodward will attend to take all details if parents are unable to get
there.
Jumble Sale
The FLS are organising a Jumble Sale for Saturday 29th April at 2pm at The
Victory Hall. Any donations of clothing, bric-a-brac, toys, books, plants and cakes
etc would be very welcome, and can be handed in at the office, or to Liz and
Alison. Help on the day would also be extremely welcome, even if it is just for half an hour!
Tempest Photography
School photographs will be taken on Friday 12th May. This year Tempest are starting at 8
o’clock in the morning, so siblings at college can be included for family portraits. Pre-school
children who do not normally come in on Fridays are very welcome to come in to have their
photos taken.
Head Lice
Can we please ask that every child is checked over the Easter Holiday. Head Lice are
passed between children, usually through head to head contact, so it is preferable that
those with long hair please have it tied back while at school. They are most easily
detected by combing wet hair with a fine tooth comb – there are some spare ones in school if
you need one. If you find head lice it is advisable to check the whole family, as well as washing
bedsheets at a high temperature and cleaning hair brushes/hair accessories where possible.

Riley Grout, Ellie Griffiths, Finn King, Lani Davey-Harris, Ruby Hobbs, Charlotte Pickbourne, Mia
Purvis, Daisy Pickbourne, Esme Murray and Sullivan Gardiner all celebrate their birthdays during
the Easter Holiday!! We hope they all have a fantastic day!
Also celebrating their birthdays in the Easter holiday, are two very special ladies, Mrs Powell
and Nicky Hill! We hope that they both enjoy their special days!
