The Geometry Series, Endeavour Loudspeaker April 2014 The Geometry Series Evolves In every way, the Geometry Series and its flagship Cardinal have set a new benchmark for the company. Wilson Benesch don’t do convention and the Cardinal is the boldest statement of intent that the company could have made to this effect. Unique its execution, material design, crossover design and aesthetics; The Cardinal defines state-‐of-‐the-‐art. Today Wilson Benesch announce the next evolution in its reference line Geometry Series; The Endeavour. Endeavour Loudspeaker finished in White Gloss, Geometry Series, 2014 The The Endeavour Loudspeaker Named in honor of Captain Cook’s British Royal Naval vessel the HMS Endeavour; The Endeavour loudspeaker draws its design dialogue from the flagship Cardinal. Featuring a geometrically optimised carbon composite top, an identical alloy baffle profile, identical spine and the same silk black aerospace finishing. Luxurious Silk Black Finishing: The underside of the Endeavour reveals the powerful Isobaric Drive System housed in a huge 10-‐kg alloy base structure. Meanwhile, Carbon fibre ports can be seen in both the base and spine of the Endeavour The Endeavour is constructed from the companies in-‐house designed and manufactured drive technologies. Deployed in a totally unique arrangement, which sees one midrange Tactic-‐II drive unit placed directly above the Semisphere Tweeter, with a set of Tactic-‐II bass drive units mounted to the huge aluminium base board on the underside of the A.C.T. Monocoque, working together in an Isobaric Drive. Carbon-‐Nanotech Enclosure Whilst the Endeavour is ground breaking in many respects, but perhaps its crowning achievement resides under its luxurious high-‐tech exterior. The Endeavour introduces the world’s first Carbon-‐ Nanotech Enclosure, which sits directly behind the midrange drive unit porting to the rear. Born from research carried out in partnership with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in Sheffield. The Carbon-‐Nanotech Enclosure is a huge breakthrough in high performance loudspeaker design. Constructed from carbon fibre and carbon nanotubes, this incredibly stiff and highly damped structure has a precisely optimised internal air volume which is dedicated purely to the midrange drive unit. It offers significant improvements in dynamics, integration and sets a new benchmark in terms of signal-‐to-‐noise ratio. The final word in High-‐End Audio Luxury No expense has been spared across the Endeavour; each 1.47-‐metre high channel weighs in at 100-‐ kg. The huge Isobaric Drive mounts via its own specially designed aluminium housing, which in turn sits in a beautifully tapered alloy base upon which the carbon composite A.C.T. Monocoque and spine locate. Carbon fibre detailing extends beyond the A.C.T. Monocoque and beautifully sculptural top, with carbon fibre ports to the rear and underside of the speaker. Every last detail exudes the quality and refined luxury that has become the hallmark of Wilson Benesch. The Endeavour is a stunning example of British High End loudspeaker design. Beautifully sculptural carbon fibre gives way to highly engineered aluminium to create timeless classic. The Endeavour stands 1.47m tall and weighs in at 100-‐kg per channel.
