JFS Orlando's 3rd Annual Restock Challenge
kicks off April 4, 2016!
4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10
JFS Orlando is proud to present the Pantry Restock
Challenge which takes place beginning April 4 through
May 6, 2016. We hope that you will participate in the
Challenge that helped, in part, to provide nearly 65,000
meals to our hungry neighbors last year. Our
partnerships with the Central Florida community have
assisted in raising significant amounts of food and
funding to fill the shelves of the Jewish Family Services
Pearlman Emergency Food Pantry, which is so
desperately needed at this time.

Meet Cynthia Crouch, Former JFS Orlando Family
Stabilization Program Participant. Here is what she had to
share about the program and JFS Orlando at the Annual
Spring Brunch:
"The Family Stabilization Program
catapulted my growth exponentially.
Things felt impossible, I was a single mother experiencing life
To better serve our community, JFS Orlando appreciates
on my own for the very first time. My self-esteem was
donations of the following:
destroyed, and I felt inadequate. I didn't know how to live on
my own, balance a check book, and I had little confidence;
after all this was the first time in my life that no one was telling
me what to do, or how to do it. A persistent voice in my head
- Infant changing table
-Rubbermaid storage bins
-Reusable shopping bags
-Can openers
saying, "your worthless- you're nothing without me."
-AED machine
"You will never make it on your own."
-Kids table and chairs
"You want to leave-go...but not with my children."
16-years marriage ended. I was broken and I was terrified. I
did not know how to support myself and I couldn't fathom how
I would possibly take care of my children. I was struggling,
and I went to bed many nights hungry. I found a job as a
receptionist working full-time for minimum wage and started
attending college classes in the evening. I remember lying in
-Coloring/activity books
-Tissues
-Diaper waste basket
-Storage shed
-Office supplies (i.e. sticky notes, highlighters, pens)
-Board games
-Quiet Children's toys
(new & used)
-Art supplies (crayons, play-dough, paint, sand, etc.)
bed at night crying and praying to a God "please help
me."
