“boss” in the Justice Department. Comey and Lynch also “crossed paths” in the early 2000s during the
investigation of the HSBC bank.

prepared the tax returns of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Hogan & Hartson also worked on the patented MX

Loretta Lynch prosecuted the money-laundering case against Hong Kong and London-based HSBC
bank. HSBC was accused of laundering funds for Mexican drug cartels and terrorist groups. Lynch failed
to send a single banker to prison and HSBC instead paid a fine.
