DURAFLO Screens for KING COBRA VENOM Shaker
Last Twice as Long As Conventional Screens
Side-by-side testing demonstrates DURAFLO screens’ efficiency
based on screen replacements, gasket condition, and mesh wear
Flow rate, galUS/min 570
An operator sought to compare the performance of
conventional screens versus DURAFLO* composite
replacement screens in a side-by-side test.
M-I SWACO conducted a full vibratory systems
analysis test on three BRANDT KING COBRA
VENOM shakers. Screen replacement, gasket
condition, and mesh wear were evaluated at an
equivalent flow rate of 570 galUS/min and deck
angles for unbiased results.

Testing proved that the DURAFLO
screens (left) handled the full flow rate
at the drilling ROP of 131 ft/h and lasted
on average 55 hours compared with
the conventional screens’ (right) life of
23.5 hours. Additionally, the DURAFLO
screens discarded 55% more solids
versus the conventional screens over
the same time frame, indicating that the
screens performed more work before
requiring replacement.
