Pet Services Agreement and Policy
This is an agreement between Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC and the pet owner. It cannot be altered
in any manner. Any alteration of this agreement voids said agreement. Please initial our eight policies.
1 - __________ Owner understands and agrees to pay the rate for pet care provided in effect on the date
the pet is checked into Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC. Reservations are required for day care and
boarding. This includes drop off and pick up times. Notification of a cancellation must be provided within
7 days prior to hotel check in date during holidays and 2 days prior to check in during all other times. We
recommend making all cancellations in writing via email. We will respond confirming your cancellation.
Reservations not cancelled by the time frame stated above will lose your deposit or be charged a
cancellation fee and during holiday bookings can be held liable for the dated reserved. My initialing 1 you
agree you have read and understand our cancellation policy and accept responsibility for all dates booked
at Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC even should I choose to shorten my pet(s) stay after the
cancellation periods have expired or should I fail to maintain necessary vaccinations required for my pets
stay.

Pet Services Agreement and Policy
2 - ___________Owner understands and agrees that while handling their own pet (i.e. leash in parking
lot or in lobby) they are solely responsible for any harm or damages caused by their pet(s) while at Happy
Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC and agrees to pay for any harm or damage to said property.
3 - ___________Owner understands and agrees that in admitting their pet(s), Happy Hounds Hotel &
Day Spa LLC has relied on their representation that their pet(s) are in good health and have not been ill
with any communicable condition in the last 60 days. Owner further verifies that their pet(s) have not
harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or pet.
4 - ____________Owner understands and agrees that if their pet(s) is not picked up within 14 calendar
days after their scheduled departure date, they will be deemed abandoned Happy Hounds Hotel & Day
Spa LLC will make 3 attempts to contact you and your emergency contact person. Pet(s) that are
deemed abandoned will be placed with an animal rescue group. All expenses incurred during this process
are the owner's responsibility and will be collected in small claims court.
5 - ____________Owner understands and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Happy Hounds Hotel
& Day Spa LLC, owners and its staff for any loss, liability, claims, expenses, demands, cause of action
suits, rights, and entitlements of any kind including without limitation, legal costs, and attorney's fees.
Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC, owners and its staff will not be liable for any known/unknown
problems/pregnancy/suspected or unsuspected illness/death that develop or for not seeking veterinary
care, provided reasonable care and precautions are followed and the owner releases Happy Hounds
Hotel & Day Spa LLC of any liability of any kind whatsoever arising from their pet(s) stay at Happy
Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC.
6 - _____________Owner understands and agrees that if their pet(s) become ill or injured, or if
the state of the pet(s) health otherwise requires professional attention, Happy Hounds Hotel &
Day Spa LLC is authorized to take whatever action is deemed necessary for the continuing care and
wellbeing of your pet(s), and owner agrees to pay for any additional costs.
7 - _____________Owner understands and agrees that they will be responsible for replacement
fee of destroyed bed, bedding, bowls, and/or room destruction.

Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC strives to allocate the best care for all of our guests. These
policies are set in place to ensure our guests receive the best care possible in a healthy, clean and
safe environment.
Admission – All pets must be in good overall health. We reserve the right to deny admittance to and
pet(s) that are lacking proof of vaccinations, and or pet(s) displaying signs of untreated or potentially
contagious conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. Although we have skilled staff members, our day
care and boarding caretakers may not be able to handle geriatric pets that require significant medical
care. Prior to participating in any social activity (i.e. day care/boarding), your pet(s) must be
temperament tested and approved. Approved pets can have social privileges taken away if their
behavior changes and they become aggressive or dominant. Pets older than six months must be
spayed/neutered. Any pet arriving at Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC with fleas and/or ticks will
be treated at owner's expense. Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC reserves the right to charge daily handling
fees for illness, excessively difficult or aggressive pets requiring additional staff and/or additional time
in order that we may deliver proper care for you pet.
Vaccinations – All pets must be current on all vaccinations. Vaccines are required to have been
administered a least 2 weeks prior to their first visit.
Pet(s) are required to have
VDHPP(distemper/parvo) vaccinations, rabies, and a yearly Bordetella (canine cough). Happy Hounds
Hotel & Day Spa LLC for your convenience call your vet to obtain your pets vaccine records.
Belongings – Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC discourages bringing any bedding or blankets from
home. As there will always be extenuating circumstances where owner would like a favorite toy, blanket,
etc. we will make every effort to return these items left, however, these items may not be returned or
may be returned in poor condition, Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa LLC is not responsible for these
items.
EMERGENCIES – In case of an emergency we will attempt to contact you or your listed emergency
contact. We will use your veterinarian, or the veterinarian of our choice at our discretion. We may
suggest you attach a signed note that details your wishes/limits in case we need to seek veterinary care,
otherwise we will do everything possible to preserve the life of your pet (i.e. bloating, bleeding,
seizures). You will be responsible for all costs involved.
Check-In/Check-Out Fees – Fees are set daily for each separate service offered. Daycare, boarding
and grooming are treated as separate services. A complete list of services and fees can be found on our
website or call for details. Check-in/check-out can be scheduled anytime during our hotels hours.
Reservations are required. Our boarding rate is daily and check-out is at noon, Monday-Saturday, the
daily rate will apply to all boarders past noon or on Sundays.
Holidays – We will be CLOSED to the public on the following holidays. Easter, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. We will be closing the
lobby at NOON on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Holidays continued - There will be no check-in's or check-outs permitted on holidays. The facility will be
staffed accordingly, but the lobby will not be available as we will be focusing on caring for our guests.
Cancellation Policy – We require to be notified (in writing) 7 days before a cancellation, if it's during a
holiday boarding period, and only 48 hours before check-in for all other times of the year. If you need to
extend your pets stay, we require notification 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. We
understand there are events that you have no control over such as weather, airline delays, and medical
emergencies and will work with you to keep your pet safe and happy.
