The North Scott School District is searching for children who will be attending Kindergarten next fall! If you have a child who will be age five on or before September 15, 2017, please call the office at 563-282-9627 to put your child’s name on our Kindergarten list. Please make every possible effort to attend Round Up, but if you cannot make it that day, please call the office anyway so that we have a more accurate count for next fall. Parents who are undecided about whether or not to send their child to Kindergarten or Pre-Kindergarten are encouraged to attend both the PK informational night on March 8th AND Kindergarten Round Up in order to obtain the most accurate information. Pre-K Meeting There is an informational meeting for Parents about the Pre-K program on Wednesday, March 8th at 6pm at Central Office in Eldridge. Donahue Sportsman’s 2017 Girls Softball Sign Up Softball season is coming up and the sign up for girls in grades 1-12 is Tuesday, March 7th from 6:00-7:30pm in the John Glenn lobby. Forms are available in the office. Wapsi Valley Town Ball 2017 Boys Baseball Sign Up Just in case you missed sign up for the boys Wapsi Valley Baseball League, we will have forms available in the office next week. North Scott Post Prom Scratch Cupcake Fundraiser Post Prom is doing a Scratch Cupcake Fundraiser. Sales will run through Friday, March 10 and the delivery date is Thursday, March 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the high school lobby. Payment is due at the time of ordering. Vegan and Gluten Free are now available. Post Prom will make 40% off each pack sold. See Deana to order these. th th North Scott High School Softball Camp The Lady Lancer Softball Team is having a Softball camp for girls in 2nd through 8th Grade. The 2nd-5th Grade camp will be held on April 24th & 25th from 4:30-6:00pm and the 6th-8th Grade camp will be held on May 2-4th from 4:30-6:30. Both camps will be held at the North Scott High School Softball Complex. Sign Up forms are in the office, and need to be returned no later than April 7th. Winter clothing Please send warm coats, hats, gloves and boots with your students every day. It is very windy and cold outside on the playground. Also please put the students name on EVERYTHING. We end up with a ton of nice coats, boots, and hats and mittens in the lost and found. End of Day Announcements If you need to call and change a student’s bus or pick up routine, please call the office BEFORE 2:35pm at 563-282-9627. This helps to ensure that your request will be met and the student gets the note before dismissal time. Note from the Nurse If a student is going to be absent from school please call or Email by 9:00am with the reason for the absence. If the absence is due to an illness, please leave two symptoms. When to Stay Home * Fever greater than 100 degrees - You must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen. * Vomiting and/or Diarrhea (watery stools) - You must not have vomited or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours. * Strep throat - You must be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school. * Any disease that requires antibiotics - You must be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school.
