God with song. These songs are fun for children and most of them have
hand motions to go along with. Dancing is always allowed :)
In today’s story about Jesus’ healing power, we will discover
another way Jesus showed just how powerful He really is. He is so
powerful, a woman was healed just by touching the clothes He was
wearing! Today, we worship Jesus as the God of Healing. Many
times, Jesus heals us through doctors and medicines. In today’s
story, He healed a woman through her simple act of faith when
she reached out to touch His clothes. Jesus can heal us any way
He chooses, even when doctors and medicine cannot. Let’s praise
Him for all He does for us, including the way He heals us.

Last time, we learned Jesus healed the paralyzed man on the mat.
How did the four friends bring the man to Jesus? (They carried
him on his mat and lowered him through the roof.) Do you remember
the story about Jesus healing Jairus’ 12 year-old daughter?
(Children respond) Today, we will hear of a miracle that took place
when Jesus was on the way to Jairus’ home. This happened near
the Sea of Galilee.
SLIDE: point to the Sea of Galilee
The news about Jesus was spreading. Everywhere He went, crowds
would gather to hear His teaching and to see His miracles. When
Jesus went with Jairus to his home, a large crowd followed Jesus
and pressed around Him. Let’s read about one woman who was in
that crowd. If you brought your Bible with you open it now and
share it with. Today’s scripture comes from Mark 5:24-34.Before
we read, let’s stand and ask God to open our eyes, ears, hearts,
and minds to His Word today. Who would like to pray for us?
(Pray) Listen carefully as we read exactly what happened in the
crowd that day.
SLIDE: Read Mark 5:24-34
SLIDE: Video Jesus Heals the Sick Woman
THE WAY: UP TO 25 MINUTES
SLIDE: We Can Reach Out To Jesus
How many years had the woman been going to doctors for healing?
(12 years) What happened to her body when she touched Jesus’
clothes? (She was healed right away) How did Jesus know someone
had touched Him? (Some power had gone out from Him) If you had
been sick for many years and the medicine or doctors could not
heal you, would you have gone to see Jesus? (Children respond)
Would you have tried to reach out and touch him? (Children
respond) Is there anyone here who is waiting to be healed of a
sickness? (Children respond) Would you like us to ask Jesus to heal
you? (Children respond, pray if there were any prayer requests.)
7000 years before the woman reached out to Jesus for healing,
Isaiah told King Hezekiah of God’s promise to heal him. In the Bible, we read King Hezekiah trusted in the Lord. Read how God
heard and saw King Hezekiah’s need for healing. Turn in your
Bibles to 2 Kings 20:5.
SLIDE: Read 2 Kings 20:5
Do you think God sees your tears and hears your prayers as He did
with King Hezekiah? (Children respond)

things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.”
