Do you remember the story about Jesus healing Jairus’ 12 year-old daughter? (Children respond) Today, we will hear of a miracle that took place when Jesus was on the way to Jairus’ home. This happened near the Sea of Galilee. SLIDE: point to the Sea of Galilee The news about Jesus was spreading. Everywhere He went, crowds would gather to hear His teaching and to see His miracles. When Jesus went with Jairus to his home, a large crowd followed Jesus and pressed around Him. Let’s read about one woman who was in that crowd. If you brought your Bible with you open it now and share it with. Today’s scripture comes from Mark 5:24-34.Before we read, let’s stand and ask God to open our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds to His Word today. Who would like to pray for us? (Pray) Listen carefully as we read exactly what happened in the crowd that day. (Some power had gone out from Him) If you had been sick for many years and the medicine or doctors could not heal you, would you have gone to see Jesus? (Children respond) Would you have tried to reach out and touch him? (Children respond) Is there anyone here who is waiting to be healed of a sickness? (Children respond) Would you like us to ask Jesus to heal you? (Children respond, pray if there were any prayer requests.) 7000 years before the woman reached out to Jesus for healing, Isaiah told King Hezekiah of God’s promise to heal him.
