CobWeb - Tactical Intruder Detection
What is CobWeb?
CobWeb systems consist of a variety of sensor technologies
(Break-wire, PIR and Radar) designed to perform the mission of
remote target detection, location and/or recognition and perimeter
protection. CobWeb is a very small, low cost, robust Unattended
Ground Sensor (UGS), with a deployed battery life expectancy of 28
days to 5 years (depending on version and sensor type).
CobWeb is capable of transmitting information back to remote
Command and Control (C2) centers and/or in-field operators via a
range of receiver devices such as the CobWeb-SF Personal Receiver
or the C2iM mobile app.
Our CobWeb intruder detection system can be used to perform
various mission tasks including perimeter defence, border patrol
and surveillance, target acquisition, and situational awareness.
Why CobWeb?
Patented Break-wire Spooling
Cobweb’s break-wire uses a uniquely spooled
break-wire, which has been designed and
engineered to be undetectable by any
known electronic means. Our super fine 0.05mm
break-wire uses a patented spooling technique,
designed to enable continuous feed without
snagging or breakage.
Secure Radio Communications
Many UGS systems on the market which use VHF/UHF radio comms
are heavy/ bulky. Our CobWeb-SF system is very small and very
lightweight and uses a unique form of radio encoding and decoding
across a wide range of channels and spectrums for the most secure
radio communication available. This makes CobWeb covert in both
radio communications and in exterior appearance.
Extensive Range
Our CobWeb-SF system has a Basic Planning Range (BPR) of up to
1.5km (Transmitter -> Receiver) using a standard 6” base loaded
antenna, without the need of signal boosting equipment. With the
CobWeb-SF Transceiver Adaptor the range of CobWeb-SF can be
increased by a further 1.5km per transceiver.
CobWeb-AT and MT systems with a ReBro TX/RX device
implemented have an extended Basic Planning Range of typically
2.5km.
Ergonomic Design
Our system is very small and very lightweight. An average pack
(4x Transmitters, 2x Receivers, 4x Spools, 1xPIR, 6x batteries and
6x antennas) weighs in at less that 2kg and is 160mm x 200mm x
45mm in dimension. The Full pack (8x Transmitters, 2x Receivers,
6x Spools, 2x PIR, 10x Batteries, 10x Antennas) weighing less than
4kg with 180mm x 260mm x 70mm in dimension.
A competitors transmitter typically weighs around 500g upwards
and be as large as 100mm x 80mm x 145mm in dimension. In
comparison CobWeb-SF Transmitter weighs 220g and is a mere
75mm x 87mm x 25mm in size. Less than half the size and weight!
Efficient Power
Long active endurance, all powered by a singular CR123
battery. Unlike other UGS our batteries are not integrated into
the transmitter/receiver. This allows for the user to change
the batteries before deployment or during particularly long
duration deployments. Many systems that are on the market
require some form of external battery pack, need to have 3+
AA batteries, and/or have an active deployed life of less than 2
weeks.
The CobWeb-SF Transmitter is our most advanced version of
CobWeb (which includes GPS and Tamper) and runs for an active
28 days using only 1 singular CR123 battery.

Why CobWeb?
Integrates Fully
All CobWeb systems can be operated entirely independently or integrated into most existing
tactical platforms. CobWeb-AT uses a USB receiver to plug in to Command and Control tactical
platforms, and CobWeb-SF uses our unique Cursor on Target (CoT) receiver to integrate in to
C4i situational awareness platforms.
CobWeb also comes with mobile integration via the CobWeb-C2iM and C2AT apps. The
C2iM and C2AT Android apps use the USB mobile receiver to track, map and provide detailed
information of triggered events and transmitter/ radar locations. The Android apps allow
the phone to become a relay by sending alerts and coordinate data automatically to other
devices via SMS or over e-mail.
Reviews/ Testing
Our full range of CobWeb kits have all been tried and tested by US Special forces, US border control, a Scandinavian Special Ops team,
UK Special forces, British Transport Police, as well as the UK Ministry of Defence.
Deploying CobWeb can save lives
The starting cost of a typical CobWeb-AT kit is less than £10,000. The cost of a life in simple financial terms can add up to £1,000,000.
To say nothing of the immeasurable impact on people and organisations. It also doesn’t cover other external expenses such as the
political implications and costs.
If one CobWeb system saves one life, then CobWeb pays for itself more than 100-fold.
