Pennies For Patients
March 3rd through the 21st
Dear Parents,
It’s time again for our annual Pennies for Patients drive. This penny drive was started a few years back
in honor of one of our own students battling Leukemia. You will receive a letter home from your child about the
Penny Drive and its’ purpose. This is completely optional and students do NOT have to bring money. This is
simply if they are able to donate. Students can bring any amount, as little as 1 penny up to any dollar amount.
Our Richardson families were incredibly generous last school year, with our final collected amount
being $2,553.78. This was much appreciated by the LLS Society. Our top-raising classroom last year was Mrs.

Moore’s room in 4 grade. They received a Pasta Party from the Olive Garden for their efforts.

March 6 - Popcorn for Patients- Donate $1.00 and students will receive a bag of popcorn to eat!

March 14 - Hat Day—Donate 50 cents and students can wear their favorite hat all day long.

March 19 - Stuck on a Cure-Donate $1.00 and students can purchase tape to stick Ms. Petruna to the
wall.

March 21 - Comfort for a Cure- Donate 50 cents and students can wear their pajamas all day.
