The Tru-Flo Fishtanks are used extensively in the
underground coal industry as part of the de-watering system.
Typically they are installed in the main gate or tailgate
headings within a cut-through.
Mine water from sumps and the development area is pumped
into the Fishtank via air pumps or submerisble pumps.
The Fishtank then transfers the water out-bye to another
Fishtank or seam to surface pump station.

FEATURES
Self cleaning - every time the pump starts the
agitation system within the tank activated for
10 seconds.
This stirs up the fines that have settled in the
tank to allow the pump to pump them.

FUNCTIONALITY
1. Fishtank is filled with mine water typically by an air operated diaphragm or submerisble pump.
The water is often very dirty directly from the development area.
2. The rising water level in the Fishtank activates a float switch which starts the pump automatically.
3. When the pump starts, the automatic slurry agitation system is activated which aggressively agitates
the water in the tank causing mixing and homoginisation of the coal fines within the water.
This allows the fines to be transferred, without accumulating in the Fishtanks.
4. As the water level lowers in the tank, it activates the low level float switch which automatically
turns the pump off.
5. The QDS Fishtank is designed as a mobile pump-station allowing it to be easily relocated within the
mine site quickly and efficiently with minimal set-up time via the QDS attachment.
