Wright’s Mill is a Colonial New England Farm, dating from the
early 1700’s. Its farmhouse, barns, antique water powered mill sites and
stone walls provide a backdrop of nostalgia and charm. Photographers love it
here! There are many places for you to have your Wedding Ceremony: the most
popular is beside the waterfall at the Old Grist Mill.
Music is an important part of every Wedding Day. Live music is a
wonderful addition to your ceremony. We offer Harps, Woodwinds, String
Quartets, Guitars, Bag Pipes and the Hammered Dulcimer. Imagine the sweet
refrains echoing through the woods.
A horse-drawn carriage will deliver you to the ceremony site after
your guests are assembled. Following the ceremony, it will take both of you
around our farm for photographs. A team of horses and wagon will take your
guests to the Wedding Site, and after the ceremony, to the reception where
they can relax, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and await your arrival.
Horse and Wagon rides can be arranged for an after dinner hayride tour of
the farm.
Your reception may be held in one of our two function facilities.
Our Pavilion, overlooking the valley, is an open-air facility, which can
accommodate up to 200 guests, with room for dancing. You may also choose our
Lodge, which has a seating capacity of 400 guests. We can also divide the
Lodge into two Ballrooms, one with a capacity of 250 guests and the other
with a capacity of 100.
The food options are endless. Our award winning Chef will gladly
work with you to make every part of the menu just the way you want it. We
pride ourselves in making this whole process easy for you! We will gladly
customize any package to suit your budget.
We can arrange any type of theme wedding you like. How about a
Country Western Style wedding, or a medieval wedding, or a Valentine’s Day
Wedding? You name it and we’ll do it!
As for the flowers and Decorations, we can do it all. We can
decorate the Ceremony and Reception site. You will be able to have special
consultations to select the colors, flowers, and arrangements that you
prefer.
We can easily plan your Rehearsal Dinner Party as well. Often, the
day before the Wedding can be held at a function area other than where your
reception will be weather permitting. Usually informal and can include
sports, a barbeque, bonfire, hayride, etc.
We will be happy to produce information pertaining to accommodations for
your out of town guests at one of our local Bed & Breakfasts or hotels.
Overnight camping on the farm is also available.
