Easter Week
14TH– 20th APRIL
This year we are
celebrating Easter
with an exciting
week full of activities and entertainment.
We will be baking
Easter themed
goodies for all the
Mary Berry’s out
there (and even
those of us who just
like cake!)
There will also be an
Easter bonnet making competition
which will be open
to everyone.
On Thursday 17th
April we have entertainer, Bob Smith,
coming in, 3-4pm
for which all friends
and family are welcome to join us.
The Easter bunny
may even be stopping by to leave us
an egg or two!
We are also still welcoming donations
for the Easter raffle!
Greeting Cards appeal
As we do enjoy a lot
of crafts and arty
activities here at
Townsend, we are
asking any residents,
friends or relatives
to donate any old
and unwanted greeting cards. These will
be used in many
weird and wonderful
ways, as and when
we think of them!
There is a labeled
box in the foyer
where you can drop
them off! Thanks.

Daffodils
I wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Library Trolley
Our lovely handyman Terry has
made up a fantastic
wheelie trolley to
display the library
books that we now
have.
Sarah will now be
bringing the books
to everyone on
regular rounds so
that residents can
choose their own
if they would like
anything to read.
If you read a good
one, let Sarah
know and she can
recommend it to
other residents.
We have a wide
selection of audiobooks and books,
all of which are in
large print.
Gardening Competition
This year we have been entered into the annual OSJCT Gardening
Competition, which is to be judged in July. There are a number of
categories for the competition including Best Vegetable Garden,
Best Hanging Basket Display and Best Dressed Scarecrow to name
but a few! If you are interested in helping out or have any ideas for
us there will be a meeting in the Day Centre on Tuesday 8th April
at 11.30am.
