STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES
Student-led conferences are a time when your child talks to you
about their learning and achievement. They will be held on
Wednesday 16 September from 3.15pm until 7.45pm.
Please make a time to come to school to hear what your child
has to say about their learning, to look at their learning
environment and the work they have on display in their
classroom, and to talk to the class teacher.
This is a valuable learning opportunity for your child. Please
support their learning by completing the slip below.
 Use one form per family.
 Write your child’s name and class beside the time you
want to start each conference.
 Remember to allow approximately 20 - 25 minutes for
each conference so you can hear what your child has to
say and have time to talk to their teacher.

SPORTS CORNER
Inter-School Exchange – Rotorua Primary
The first of our Inter-School Winter Code exchanges will
happen on Thursday 3 September (weather permitting). We
will be hosting Rotorua Primary with the afternoon beginning
with a welcome in our school hall around 1.00pm then a few
house rules given and then into our games. Please come and
support us. See you there.
Touch
Permission slips are slowly being returned. Children wanting to
play in our senior team, need to return their form if they want to
play as we have a coach. Whaea Natasha Cook has offered to
coach our senior team this year, with Mr Rowan Monk helping
out where and when he can. I do have other names of parents
who want to coach also, but I need you to come and see Debra
or myself, to make it official. This would be most appreciated.
The children are so eager to play.
Winter Field Day
Please keep Tuesday 22 September free, so that you are able
to come and watch your child or children participate in our
Winter Field Day Sports. Just watch this space and more
information will be given as the day gets closer.

programme with Chris Fortune again this year. Chris will be in
school next Wednesday, taking classes through some healthy
cooking lessons. Our thanks to the Heart Foundation will be
presenting all students with their own copy of the Kids in the
Kitchen cook book.
