LARRY KIRBY NAMED PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE BUSINESS BANK OF ST. LOUIS New Senior Management Team Structure Features David Mishler as Vice Chairman and Mike Flavin as Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development St. Louis, Mo., July 28, 2010 – The Business Bank of St. Louis has established a new senior management team structure designed to bolster the overall performance of the bank and lead the organization through the current economic conditions. Larry Kirby has been named the Bank’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Founder David Mishler will remain in his position as Vice Chairman, and Mike Flavin has been named Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development. Kirby joined The Business Bank of St. Louis in 2008, and was most recently Executive Vice President of the commercial real estate lending team with responsibility for a $300 million commercial real estate loan portfolio. Prior to joining The Business Bank, Kirby was Senior Vice President at LaSalle Bank where he managed a $100 million commercial real estate portfolio. In 2003 he founded Midland States Bank, a de novo bank in Chesterfield, and served as its President for three years. He has 19 years of commercial real estate lending and financial management experience. “Dave, Mike and the Bank’s Board of Directors have developed the processes and strategic initiatives needed to get the Bank through these turbulent economic times, and Larry is best suited to implement and manage these initiatives,” said Tom O’Meara, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors. “Dave and Mike are best known for providing great service to the Bank’s customers, attracting new customers and developing strong business relationships within the St. Louis business community. Our new structure allows all three to better focus their respective talents and work together for the benefit of our customers and shareholders.” Flavin joined the Bank in 2006 with primary responsibilities for new business development. He has 28 years of banking experience in the St. Louis area, including 16 years as Regional President at Mark Twain Bank and its successor organizations.
