Attitude Mark - Students will also receive an attitude mark out of 100 from their class teacher based on the following below. This is worth 10% in the overall exam result. If a student is given a high ark for their attitude in lass yet they don’t have a natural a ility it can lift their overall result as it proves they are working hard. If a student re eives a high natural a ility ark ut doesn’t try very hard in lass and doesn’t have a good attitude then this can lower their overall result on the day. Teachers are asked to mark students on the following each week in class to give them a mark out of 100. This mark is added to the examiners marks. Se ing Ri on onto Ballet Shoes via Blo h Australia Ribbon bundles are sold in one long 2¼ metre length so the ribbon needs to be cut in half and then in half again so there are four pieces, one for each side of the shoe. Take one piece of ribbon and at one end fold one centimetre over once and then fold it over two centimetres again. To attach the ribbons at the correct angle, fold the back of the shoe forward and down, then mark each side of the shoe on the cotton lining in the angle made. Place the folded end of the ribbon at the marked position and sew as shown in the drawing onto the side of the shoe through the cotton lining but not through the satin. The ribbons may be angled forward if required to hold the shoe on more securely. For extra support the ribbon can be sewn further down the shoe close to the inner sole at the same position. Do not sew the ribbon through the binding as the drawstring cord can not be adjusted and the binding may pull away from the satin. The cord inside the binding of the pointe shoe is to adjust the tension of the width of the upper. It should be adjusted while on the foot, and tied in a double knot with the excess cord tucked into the shoe and not be visible. Do not cut the excess of the cords off, as should the knot come undone the ends would be lost inside the binding. Bloch Elastoribs are pre-cut into four pieces and each has an elastic piece sewn into the ribbon length not quite in the centre so one length is shorter than the other. The shorter length should be pinned to the marked area for sewing to check that when the ribbon is wound around the ankle the elastic sits directly behind the Achilles tendon. The Elastoribs come with detailed instructions in the packet. 2016 Ballet Exam Timetable Thursday 14th July 2016 Time Class Teacher 9:00am - 9:30am Beginners Ballet Exam Camille Smith 9:30am - 10:00am 10:00am - 10:45am 10:45m - 11:15am 11:15am - 12:15pm 12:15pm - 1:00pm 1:00pm - 2:00pm 2:00pm - 2:30pm 2:30pm - 3:40pm 3:40pm - 4:10pm 4:10pm - 4:55pm 4:55pm - 5:10pm Examinor Assessment and Break Time Preparatory Ballet Exam (Wednesday Class) Camille Smith Examinor Assessment and Break Time Level One Ballet Exam Darcey Eagle Examinor Assessment and Lunch Time Level Two Ballet Exam Darcey Eagle Examinor Assessment and Break Time Level Three Ballet Exam Darcey Eagle Examinor Assessment and Break Time Preparatory Ballet Exam (Saturday Class) Anai Threlfall Examinor Assessment Time 2016 Ballet Exam Timetable Friday 15th July 2016 Time Class Teacher 9:00am - 10:15am Level Four Ballet Exam Tamara Searle 10:15am - 10:45am 10:45am - 12:20pm 12:20pm - 1:05pm 1:05pm - 2:40pm 2:40pm - 3:10pm 3:10pm - 4:40pm 4:40pm - 4:55pm Examinor Assessment and Break Time Transition Ballet Exam (Group One) Tamara Searle Examinor Assessment and Lunch Time Transition Ballet Exam (Group Two) Tamara Searle Examinor Assessment and Break Time Major Two Ballet Exam Tamara Searle Examinor Assessment Time 2016 Ballet Exam Groups Preparatory Ballet Exam (Wednesday Class) Miss Camille Smith Amber Tinsley Stella Watson Taj Reynolds Preparatory Ballet Exam (Saturday Class) Miss Anai Threlfall Annabella Arendse Haeley Heng Holly Bystrzycki Khaldia Elhajje Transition Ballet Exam (Group One) Miss Tamara Searle (Group Two) Miss Tamara Searle Gabrielle King Harriet Pollitt Isabella Stafford Olivia Fanning Ruby Wolfe Transition Ballet Exam Claire Jansz Jessica Phillips Lucie Kent Zali Reynolds
